Anyone who's been following me since the begining (is there anyone left from the early days?) knows that I like to dabble in the analysis of song lyrics, to interpret and discover a songs deeper meaning. It's been a while since I've done this, but today I think I've found a song that is worthy of such a deep dive.

The song is a catchy upbeat song called Jaja Ding Dong and comes from the Netflix film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (wow that's a mouthful).

The song is sung by Molly Sandén and Will Ferrell and lip synced by Rachel McAdams in the movie. You may have heard the song already, but if not then be sure to check out the video below. Actually watch the video anyway, it helps with my analysis and interpretation if you're familiar with the rhythm of the song. It's easier to follow along that way.

Okay, let's get to my interpretation.

The song is clearly about love, that much is obvious. But its not about just any sort of love...

Its about sexy time love, if you know what I mean... you know what I mean.

Dont be fooled by the songs poppy beat and its good natured, smiling happy lyrics. There is no doubt that this is a song about sex.

You may not believe me at this point and may even think that I have a dirty mind to believe such a thing, but rest assured that by the end of my deep dive analysis into the lyrics, you too will realize what it's all about. I've heard of people comparing their love for someone to big objects like the ocean or a whale or even the universe. I've heard of it described as a percentage like "I love you one million percent." But I don't think I've ever heard of a person describing the length and width of their love before. How long and wide are we talking here? Like 6 to 9 inches maybe? And (pulls out tape measure) approximately 1.5 inches wide.

Okay the words "swelling" and "bursting are an interesting choice here." This is a tough one. What else swells and bursts that's associated with love?

Now at this point I feel slightly compelled to actually do some investigation and analysis of the film itself, to see if there are any hints and clues that could tell us what the song is about. I need to give some credibility to my interpretation as well, so let's take a look at a scene from the movie.

In the scene in the dressing room at the Eurovision competition, Sigrit sees Lars stuffing a sock down his pants.

Sigrit: "What are you doing?"

Lars: "I just want my ding dong to look bigger than what is really there."

Sigrit: "Smart! I could do a camel?"

Lars: "Do a classic camel, it's never out of style."

Sigrit: "Yeah!"

Okay so the phrase "ding-dong" appears to refer to a man's ding-dong. I actually didn't see that coming....

Well, now that we know that "ding dong" actually means penis, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that love expanding is a synonym for an erection.
