A book that inspires me

I've never been one to read many books, i know i read the ones i had in school and in college because i didn't pass the subjects otherwise. But i can count on my hands the books i read in full and i remember what they are about. BUT, if there is a book that since i saw it inspires me every time i consult it, it is the one I will talk about today:

Interior Design, a Manual - Francis D. K. Ching and Corky Binggeli

It may not be a fiction, textbook or history book, but it is a book that has served me well, both in college and in professional life. It is literally an Interior Design manual with the basics, symbols and terms of the career. The most interesting thing is that it is prepared in a very practical way, and is full of drawings made by the authors.

Un libro que me inspira.

Yo nunca he sido de leer muchos libros, sé que leí los que me tocaban en el colegio y en la universidad porque de lo contrario no pasaba las materias. Pero puedo contar con las manos los libros que leí completos y me recuerdo de lo que tratan. PERO, si hay un libro que desde que lo ví me inspira cada vez que lo consulto y es del que hablaré el día de hoy:

Diseño de Interiores, un manual - Francis D. K. Ching y Corky Binggeli

Tal vez no sea un libro de ficción, de texto o de alguna historia, pero es un libro que me ha servido de mucho, tanto en la universidad como en la vida profesional. Es literalmente un manual de Diseño de Interiores con las cosas básicas, simbologías y términos de la carrera. Lo más interesante es que está preparado de una forma muy práctica, y está lleno de dibujos hechos por los autores.

They are mostly hand-drawn and explain very well all the subjects they deal with. They talk about what it is, how it works and what the intention of the interior space is, they define structural themes, how it works, they talk about sunshine, winds, utility, shape, style, ergonomics, colors, textures, compositions, furniture, lighting, finishes and many other terms that unless you are familiar with them you will not understand so easily.

But, it really is one of the most practical and complete books on Interior Design that I have seen, of course, after the Plazola no one compares to those. (For those who don't know, the Plazola is a series of Design books, specialized by branches, it has approximately 12 volumes).

But nothing, this one inspires me a lot, because when I don't have much inspiration or I need to consult some measure or criterion I can go to it. And the drawings are so well elaborated that they make you want to browse the whole book.

Son dibujos hechos a mano, en su mayoría, y explican muy bien todo los temas que tratan. Hablan de lo que es, como funciona y cuál es la intención del espacio interior, definen temas estructurales, de funcionamiento, habla sobre asoleamiento, vientos, utilidad, forma, estilo, ergonomía, colores, texturas, composiciones, mobiliarios, iluminación, acabados y muchos otros términos que a menos que estés familiarizado no entenderás tan fácilmente.

Pero, de verdad es uno de los libros más prácticos y completos sobre el Diseño de Interior que he visto, claro, después del Plazola nadie se compara con esos. (Para los que no saben, el Plazola es una serie de libros de Diseño, especializado por ramas de la misma, tiene aproximadamente 12 tomos).

Pero nada, este me inspira muchísimo, porque cuando no tengo mucha inspiración o necesito consultar alguna medida o criterio puedo acudir a él. Y los dibujos son tan bien elaborados que te dan deseos de hojear el libro completo.
