The Teide and the beauty around - a small resume of my fifth day in Tenerife

Welcome to my fifth post of my birthday week off!

As many of you already know, today was the BIG day... the day that we went to Teide volcon!

I wanna tell you all that the Teide is going to be a special post, as soon as I get home. The reason for that is very simple, the place it self deserves a special emphasis by it self. All of you that already had the opportunity to visit it, know exactly what I mean.

The journey started earlier then the other days, since we planed to visit some spots... and since the week is coming very fast to its "end", we couldn't compromise the very few hours in this Paradisic place.

After early breakfast we flew off just after 7h40 am. Headed to La Esperanza were the magnificent and leafy forest of verdant pines that capture the humidity that is brought by the morning mist! Since I was the driver (looks like everyone's happy with my "job" of getting from point "A" to "B" with safety and noxious free travel 🤣 ) I couldn't take of photo of the border of the forest. The first stop was the Mirador Candelaria

The mist here was absolutely stunning and magestious with the temperatures dropping about 15° Celsius degrees (about 60° Fahrenheit)! 🥶

We had the first chance of seeing the tip of the Teide! Can you see it too coming off the clouds?

Just after one mirador (viewpoint) another and another came... we had to make so many choices, since there are literally dozens of them along the way to the Teide.

The second viewpoint was the Mirador de Ortuño were more then the basepoint of the Teide with a beautiful clear and cloudless sky, it also had an extra point of interest! One thing that I surely would love to do... Paragliders!

The next was the Mirador Tarta (something like the "The tart viewpoint"), and the name couldn't be better fitted to the place!

The stratification of the volcanic soil is impressive! Can you see the difference between basaltic and the pumice stone?

The Teide came has a magestious and prominent point of interest, no matter where we were!

And the Minas de San Jose was the place were Star Wars could be filmed! Trust me on that. You can judge by yourself

The scenario became more and more magical! How the Hell is that even possible? 🤣

After about 2 hours of discovery the land by foot, we headed to the Vilaflor for a proper lunch!

Just passed through the "Pino Gordo" a 600-700 yo huge pine tree! Can you see the scale? There is a person hugging the unique trunk!

And off course that was his twin little brother... ahaha the Pino de las dos pernadas, one huge double trunked pine tree... this one with the estimated age of 500-600 years old!

In Vilaflor we were referred to the "Tito Restaurante y cafeteria"

Were for little less then 10€ per pax we had a delicious and simple Canarian/Spanish meal: Padrón peppers and Huevos rotos!

With a ice cold "Dorada Especial"

The day ended in the out of this world view from "El Arco de Tajao"

Tomorrow we are going to do one nearby Sendero!

I can't wait for it!

I hope that I could transmit you all the energy, beauty and emotions from this Paradisic island!

See you all tomorrow!

Cheers!
