Puerto de la Cruz, Icod de Los Vinos, Masca y Los Gigantes - The proper birthday celebration

Welcome everyone to my fourth publication of my vacations at the beautiful Tenerife Island!

As many of you already know, today is my birthday. And to celebrate my 44th trip around the Sun, what could be better then a healthy journey in Tenerife with 24°C? 😊

We left home and head to Puerto de la Cruz just after the reestablish healthy breakfast!

Picked up the Fiat 500X, and off we went!

In Spanish, the local inhabitants are known as Portuenses. With an area of 8.73 km2, the municipality is the smallest in Tenerife. And the tourism is in fact one of the most prominent economic activities of the municipality

The beach of black rocks and volcanic sand is located in a sunny and very welcoming cove, where it is possible to observe paragliders that have taken off from Teíde!

If you have some extra crypto you can buy this apartment just next to the shore! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The clock was marking almost 1pm, and the stomachs need something to entertain with... we look up for a nice restaurant in Icod de los Vinos. We thought that the name of the location it's suggesting that they have nice wines... and we weren't wrong! We choose to eat at the Agustin y Rosa and ordered for starter the garbanzas (cooked chickpeas with meat and chorizo). For the main course we asked for the Papas, piñas y costillas (Potatoes, corn and ribs) all of that accompanied with one perfect branco afrutado from Tenerife!

After this canarian delight, we just had the opportunity to see the arraste de tablas por las calles (kids and adults sliding down the street sitting on a wooden plank) 🤭🤭🤭 a tradicional celebration for the San Andrés festivities

The chaotic traffic made us take more then expected to leave the municipality and head on a very narrow road that winds up and down the slope until reaching Masca

After a good and long gearbox and driving exercise we finally arrived at la Masca...and the view, has you already might guess was absolutely breath-taking!

Can you see the La Gomera Island in the middle of the two rocky formations?

The next stop, for the perfect sunset, was the natural and unique view from the Los Gigantes and the perfect Golden Hour photos!

There is nothing more valuable then to finish a perfect day with a view like this, correct?

I hop you like my post about the fourth day at the Paradise Island! (...and my birthday journey 😅)

See you all tomorrow night, after my trip to the Teíde! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Cheers!
