Today, taking advantage of the fact that I had to go to the centre of the city of Valencia, Carabobo state, I wanted to take some photographs of this magnificent architectural work considered by the city and the country as one of the most important works in the national sphere. It is undoubtedly a symbol for this region and has a historical value for all the inhabitants of the state.
My intention before such a visit to this place, was to be able to enter and take photographs inside the place, because the truth shows some very important aesthetic values of the enclosure, but I could not enter because at this moment they were doing some rehearsals for what later will be an event in the theatre, so for today I could not enter, perhaps in the future I will be able to enter.
Hoy por hoy, aprovechando que tuve que ir al centro de la ciudad de Valencia, estado Carabobo, quise tomar unas fotografías de esta magnífica obra arquitectónica considerada por la ciudad y el país, como unas de las obras más importante en el ámbito nacional. Sin duda es símbolo para esta región y tiene un valor histórico para todos los pobladores del estado.
Mi intención ante tal visita a este lugar, era el de poder entrar y hacer fotografías al interior del lugar, porque la verdad muestra algunos valores estéticos muy importantes del recinto, pero no pude acceder porque en este momento se encontraban haciendo unos ensayos para lo que posteriormente será un evento en el teatro, por lo que por hoy no pude entrar, quizás en un futuro pueda acceder.

As a historical fact, I must mention that its construction began in 1879, under the orders of the future president of the Republic, Antonio Guzmán Blanco, but it was not until 1894 that the theatre was opened, opening its doors for any artistic event, especially for musical opera events. Its capacity is structured to receive more than 640 people, figures in seats built in its interior.
Inside the theatre you can witness very important works made by the Venezuelan painter Antonio Herrera Toro, who was in charge of giving life to the theatre's ceiling, who captured through his paintings a series of celebrities of music, art and literature. On the other hand, this theatre was planned by the architect Antonio Malaussena, taking influence from architectural works such as the Opera Theatre of Paris, almost like a replica of it, because President Antonio Guzmán Blanco was very influenced by the French culture, a fact that can be seen in this theatre and many other works especially in the capital city of Caracas.
Como dato histórico, debo mencionar que este teatro, su construcción se inició en 1879, bajo las órdenes del quien sería el presidente de la República Antonio Guzmán Blanco, pero no fue hasta 1894, que se aperturo dicho recinto, abriendo sus puertos para cualquier evento artístico y sobretodo con eventos de ópera musical. Su capacidad se estructura para recibir más de 640 personas, cifras en butacas construidas en su interior.
Dentro del teatro se puede presenciar obras muy importantes realizadas por el pintor venezolano Antonio Herrera Toro, quien se encargaría de darle vida al plafónd del teatro, quien plasmó a través de sus pinturas una serie de celebridades de la música, el arte y también de la literatura. Por otra parte este teatro tuvo planficado por el arquitecto Antonio Malaussena, tomando influencia de obras arquitectónicas como el Teatro de la Ópera de París, casi como una replica de la misma, debido a que el Presidente Antonio Guzmán Blanco estaba muy influenciado por la cultura francesa, hecho que se ve en este teatro y muchas obras sobre todo en la ciudad capital Caracas.

Since 2 December 1964, it has been considered a National Historic Monument, due to its historical, architectural and artistic contribution. It is an enclosure that has promoted the value of all the arts in general in the city, seeking to encourage the support of all artists in different fields.
It is this value as heritage of the region, that we have all appreciated this place, that for many years adorns the chaotic centre of the city, that between new structures, still maintains its old and original façade of the time.
Desde el 2 de diciembre de 1964, es considerado como Monumento Histórico Nacional, por el hecho de su aportación histórica, arquitectónica y artística. Es un recinto que ha potenciado el valor de todas las artes en general de la ciudad, buscando incentivar el apoyo de todos los artistas en los diferentes ámbitos.
Es ese valor como patrimonio de la región, que todos hemos apreciado a este lugar, que por muchos años adorna el caótico centro de la ciudad, que entre estructuras nuevas, aún mantiene su fachada antigua y original de la época.

An anecdote that is known about this site is that in 1998, on the occasion of Luciano Pavarotti's visit for a concert in the city of Valencia, the Municipal Theatre of Valencia was chosen so that the Italian tenor Pavarotti could prepare and rehearse his songs to recite in his musical event in the city.
And although this theatre has gone through many neglects, it has always been able to recover and maintain its structure, which undoubtedly has a very important cultural, architectural and artistic significance for the city of Valencia and Venezuela. It is undoubtedly a place worth visiting and photographing, as a beautiful postcard that will last forever.
Una anécdota que se sabe de este sitio, es que en 1998, con motivo de la visita de Luciano Pavarotti, para un concierto en la ciudad de Valencia, el Teatro Municipal de Valencia, fue escogido para que el tenor italiano Pavarotti pudiera preparar y ensayar sus canciones a recitar en su evento musical en la ciudad.
Y aunque este teatro ha pasado por muchos descuidos, siempre se ha podido recuperar y mantener su estructura, que sin duda tiene un significado muy importante en lo cultural, arquitectónico y artístico para la ciudad de Valencia y Venezuela. Sin duda es un sitio digno de visitar y fotografiar, como un bello postal que perdure por siempre.
