One of the most complete places to visit or stay is the Círculo Militar, as it is located in one of the busiest areas of Margarita Island which is Pampatar, also has access to the beach where you have several food and beverage outlets, entertainment nearby such as paddle surfing, kayaking, jet skiing, etc.. The area is quite quiet and 1 block away is the main avenue of Pampatar where you can find places to visit and squares where they make music fairs, food and souvenir sales. This place is very easy to access if your intention is not to be grabbing a cab all the time, as you have many places nearby that you can visit on foot.
Uno de los lugares más completos para visitar u hospedarse es el Círculo Militar, ya que queda en una de las zonas más movidas de la Isla de Margarita que es Pampatar, también cuenta con acceso a la playa donde tiene varios locales de comida y bebida, entretenimientos cerca como: paddle surf, kayak, moto de agua, etc. La zona es bastante tranquila y a 1 cuadra queda toda la Avenida principal de Pampatar donde puedes encontrar locales para conocer y plazas donde hacen ferias de música, comida y venta de souvenir. Este lugar a muy fácil acceso si tu intención no es estar agarrando taxi a cada rato, ya que tienes cerca muchos lugares que puedes visitar caminando.
It has its own parking lot and right at the entrance there is a place called "Todo Criollo" with pretty cheap prices compared to other restaurants on Margarita Island, for example a plate of food with 2 contours, juice, soup and coffee, you get $5 dollars and every day they have on the menu different dishes with the same price. I think it is also a very nice place to spend some time in the evening and have a few cold national beers that cost 2 for $1 dollar.
Cuenta con su propio estacionamiento y justo en la entrada hay un local que se llama "Todo Criollo" con unos precios bastante baratos a comparación de otros restaurantes en la Isla de Margarita, por ejemplo un plato de comida con 2 contornos, jugo, sopa y café, te sale en $5 dólares y todos los días tienen en el menú diferentes platos con el mismo precio. Me parece que también es un lugar bastante agradable para estar un rato en la noche y tomarse unas cervezas nacionales bien frías que cuestan 2 por $1 dólar.
Here are some pictures of the facilities of the restaurant, which I really found very nice and creative so you can observe it, the decor is super creative, vintage and cozy. All those bottles on the wall caught my attention, the service was very friendly and although I was already with a full belly, we were able to try some appetizers and the food was very tasty. You can eat inside the restaurant or in the inside of the Hotel's pool.
Por aquí les dejo algunas fotos de las instalaciones del local, que realmente me pareció muy bonito y creativo para que puedan observarlo, la decoración es súper creativa, vintage y acogedor. Todas esas botellas en la pared me llamaron bastante la atención, la atención fue muy amable y aunque ya iba con la barriga llena, pudimos probar algunas entradas y estaba muy rica la comida. Puedes consumir dentro del local o en la parte de adentro que está la piscina del Hotel.
The entrance is quite beachy but without leaving aside that military touch that makes it very particular since most of the Military Circles that I have known in Venezuela, all have that rustic design, with large wooden chairs that make it very particular in the facilities here. In fact it reminded me a lot of a place I used to go with my family when I was a child called El Club del placer on the way to Tejerías, but this place is ideal since it has the pool and the beach in front of it.
La entrada es bastante playera pero sin dejar a un lado ese toque militar que lo hace bien particular ya que la mayoría de los Círculos Militares que he conocido en Venezuela, todos tienen ese diseño rústico, con sillas grandes de madera que lo hacen bien particular en las instalaciones de aquí. De hecho me recordó muchísimo a un lugar que iba desde pequeña con mi familia que se llama El club del placer vía a tejerías, pero este lugar es ideal ya que tiene la piscina y la playa en frente.
After you pass the entrance, you have the pool area, pool chairs and tables where you can also consume beers or food from the place at the entrance, which I find super nice place. If you want to spend the day at the pool it costs $3 dollars for adults and $2 dollars for children and you can spend the day from 10 am to 5:30 pm (those prices are in low season) I was not given with certainty the prices in high season as it is very relative depending on the season. Consumption is purely on the premises, that means that you can't bring food, only what they sell on site. However, they have Full-Day packages that cost around $15 per person and include welcome cocktail, lunch, snack and swimming pool.
Luego que pasas la entrada, tienes la parte de la piscina, sillas de piscina y las mesas donde también puedes consumir las cervezas o comida del local que está en la entrada, lo cuál me parece súper agradable el lugar. Si deseas pasar el día en la piscina tiene un costo de $3 dólares los adultos y $2 dólares los niños y puedes pasar el día desde las 10 am hasta las 5:30 pm (esos precios son en temporada baja) no me dieron con certeza los precios en temporada alta ya que es bien relativo depende de la época. El consumo es netamente de las instalaciones, eso quiere decir que no se puede llevar comida, únicamente la que venden en el lugar. Sin embargo tienen paquetes Full-Day que rondan entre los $15 dólares por persona e incluye cóctel de bienvenida, almuerzo, snack y piscina.
In high season or special days they make combos per couple (3 days and 2 nights, lunch, breakfast, welcome cocktail, snack, pool, live music, access to the beach and the price per couple is $80 dollars). They also do live shows and karaoke, which I think is very entertaining and complete, to spend a vacation with everything you might need on the island. There are indeed more options where you can stay, but in terms of price, quality, access to the beach, entertainment, this place seems to me to be one of the most complete for a pleasant stay.
En temporadas altas o días especiales hacen combos por pareja (3 días y 2 noches, almuerzo, desayuno, cóctel de bienvenida, snack, piscina, música en vivo, acceso a la playa y el precio por pareja son $80 dólares). También hacen show en vivo y karaoke, lo que me parece bien entretenido y completo, para pasar unas vacaciones con todo lo que puedas necesitar en la Isla. Efectivamente hay más opciones donde puedas alojarte, pero en cuestión de precio, calidad, acceso a la playa, entretenimiento, este sitio me parece que es uno de los más completos para una grata estadía.
In the pool area you have access to the other restaurants that are on the seashore, surrounded by huge palm trees and the best thing is its easy access to the beach of Pampatar and its proximity to several places to eat and spend a pleasant evening with cocktails. The places you can visit are: Kalua Restaurant Lounge & Bar, La Mar Restaurant of traditional and Mediterranean Gastronomy, Veleros Restaurant and beach club and one of my favorite places "Check Point" since it is super fun because of all the water sports it offers, ping pong, normal and electric bicycle, a TV for Gamers, paintball guns and much more.
En el área de la piscina tiene un acceso a los demás restaurantes que quedan en la orilla del mar, rodeado de enormes palmeras y lo mejor es su acceso fácil a la playa de Pampatar y su cercanía de diversos sitios para comer y pasar una noche agradable con unos cócteles. Los lugares que puedes visitar son: Kalua Restaurante Lounge & Bar, La Mar Restaurante de Gastronomía tradicional y mediterránea, Veleros Restaurante y club de playa y uno de mis lugares favoritos "Check Point" ya que es súper divertido por todos los deportes acuáticos que ofrece, ping pong, bicicleta normal y eléctrica, un tv para Gamers, pistolas de paintball y mucho más.
The place is perfect to release stress, disconnect from routine, spend a pleasant vacation among nature, tropical climate and a quiet beach without waves. On weekends and high season, it gets quite crowded but anyway the beach is very large and that's good because it is not an impossible place to walk. Its facilities are very nice and you have several iconic places nearby that you could visit like the Castillo de San Carlos de Borromeo or also Punta Ballena Lighthouse but it would be a little further to walk, there are also the Salinas and these 3 sites are in the same area of the Circulo Militar: Pampatar.
El lugar es perfecto para liberar estrés, desconectarse de lo rutinario, pasar unas vacaciones agradables entre lo natural, clima tropical y una playa tranquila sin tanto oleaje. Los fines de semana y las temporadas altas, se llena bastante pero de todos modos la playa es muy grande y eso es bueno porque no lo hace un lugar imposible de caminar. Sus instalaciones son muy bonitas y tienes cerca varios lugares icónicos que podrías conocer como el Castillo de San Carlos de Borromeo o también El Faro Punta Ballena pero ya quedaría un poco más retirado para ir caminando, también están las Salinas y estos 3 sitios quedan en la misma zona del Circulo Militar: Pampatar.
La Mar Restaurante de Gastronomía tradicional y mediterránea is a very nice place since it is right on top of the beach and on Wednesdays they give free cocktails for women 🥳, with good music and breathing bad air, which for me would be a synonym of Happiness.
La Mar Restaurante de Gastronomía tradicional y mediterránea es un lugar muy lindo ya que queda encima de toda la orilla de la playa y los días miércoles dan cócteles gratis para las mujeres 🥳, con música buena y respirando aire de mal, que para mí sería un sinónimo de Felicidad.
When you travel to an unknown country, it is ideal to have some previous knowledge of the places that have been previously known by other people or real comments of where we go, because many times you recommend places without knowing or without seeing pictures before and you have a bad experience. That's why I created this post, in order to show you a nice place where you can get a good price and that is in one of the best tourist areas of Margarita Island. A few months ago some friends came from Miami and they were delighted with this area of the island, especially with "Check-Point" because as I mentioned above, is super complete and entertaining, you can spend all day and you have everything you need to be comfortable.

Cuando uno viaja a un país desconocido, es ideal tener algún previo conocimiento de los lugares que ya anteriormente han conocido otras personas o comentarios reales de donde vamos, ya que muchas veces recomiendas sitios sin conocer o sin ver fotos anteriormente y pasas una mala experiencia. Por eso cree este post, con el fin de mostrarles un lugar lindo donde pueden llegar a un buen precio y que está en una de las mejores zonas turísticas de la Isla de Margarita. Hace pocos meses vinieron unos amigos de Miami y quedaron encantados con esta zona de la isla, sobre todo con "Check-Point" ya que como les comentaba arriba, es súper completo y entretenido, puedes pasar todo el día y tienes todo lo que necesitas para estar cómodo.
