Travel to Weh Island | Aceh Bay on The Ulee Lheue - Balohan Route

I traveled to Weh Island on Friday, November 13, 2020, for work as well as traveling. The only route to Weh Island that provides official means of transportation is the port of Ulee Lheue - Balohan.

There are two types of transportation options, namely the fast boat which takes 45 minutes, while the second option is the slow boat, which is a ferry which takes almost 3 hours with a distance of 19 miles. I set sail selecting the second option.

Pictures of the atmosphere just before sailing, I took a photo from the ferry.

The sound of the ferry horn sounded, the ferry was moving to leave the port of Ulee Lheue, Banda Aceh, pouring rain accompanied the start of the trip.

The passengers are very happy to start the journey.

Some of the passengers who were getting bored, some of them fell asleep, I took the time to take pictures of the sea view while in the middle of Aceh Bay.

The fast boat traffic route from the port of Ulee Lheue went fast past the ferry I was riding in the middle of the trip. Likewise the ferry from the opposite direction met in the middle of the journey.

Passenger boredom began to disappear immediately when Weh Island was clearly visible.
