Hello friends. Recently I had the good fortune to visit the cultural and historical complex "Cyrillic Yard", which is located in the small town of Pliska (Bulgaria).
This is a unique museum, which consists of several interconnected compartments. Now with great pleasure I will make you a virtual walk in the complex, so that you also can enjoy the interesting things I saw there
We arrive around 14:00 in the afternoon. The complex attracts many visitors from Bulgaria and abroad, but today maybe because of the hot weather there are not so many tourists.
This is the entrance gate
It will take you to the yard where the huge sculptures of all the letters of the Cyrillic alphabet are located
Here you will also see the impressive sculptures of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, as well as of Tsar Boris I - Michael who is the godfather of the Bulgarians.
In the immediate vicinity was built a small chapel named after Tsar Boris I - Michael
We pass through a unique art gallery. Here many paintings recreate the conversion to Christianity , and creation of the Cyrillic alphabet
From here we head to the stone fortress.
On the first floor there is a gallery hall - "Creation of a Cyrillic school"
On the second floor is the hall of Bulgarian glory. Here you can see unique wax figures of all Bulgarian rulers who reigned in the first Bulgarian capital
On the yard in front of the fortress is a great alley of the writers . Here you will see dozens of sculptures by many famous writers of different nationalities who wrote in Cyrillic.
The complex also has a recreation area and a shop with a wide range of souvenirs
After finishing our walk, we head to a unique inn, which is in close proximity
Here, in an extremely pleasant atmosphere, one can try traditional Bulgarian cuisine and drink something refreshing after the walk.
This will end my virtual walk. Bye bye friends, expect soon, a new interesting destination that I will share with you.
