Hi Everyone,
When we first arrived in Japan, we stayed between Taisho and Namba due to the limited accommodation over Christmas and New Year. Namba was a last-minute plan because we wanted something a little central during the holiday period so we only stayed in Namba for a week before moving a little out of the city afterwards. This was the first time we lived on the edge of Namba which is a good 10-15 minute walk to the station so it was a bit new to us to see the other side of the suburb. Like most tourists, we would like to stay somewhere close to the action for shorter trips to save time.
As we were in Japan for a while, we tried to stay away from the crowd and ventured out to the quieter area. Below are some of the scenery around Namba away from the tourist hotspots. Look at how quiet it is at all hours of the day. You probably see people riding bikes passing by and most of the time, we will be the ones on the roads. After work would be a little more busy but nothing compared to the denser areas. If we wanted, we could walk from our place to Tennoji in around 30 minutes which isn't too bad if you wanted to keep your steps up. I loved our stay in Japan this time round, we lived like the locals and explored the local way.
