Chon Khong Zen Monastery-The temple has the largest gold Buddha statue in Vietnam.

Hello friends. Today is a special day in my country, also known as the full moon day. On these days, people in my country often go to pagodas, offer incense, buy flowers and fruits to worship their ancestors, the god of local wealth. So, on this day, I and my small family went to the temple. This pagoda is located on a big mountain.

This is a special temple, located at an altitude of 80m on the slopes of Big Mountain, the gate of the temple is located in the middle of the slope. The pagoda was built by Most Venerable Thich Thanh Tu in 1966. By 1995, after the restoration process, this place had become an elegant and dignified temple. And now this temple has become a famous temple in Vung Tau, a great cultural tourist destination for tourists. Chon Khong Zen Monastery is located at 36/11 Vi Ba Street, Ward 6, Vung Tau City.

Chon Khong Zen Monastery in Vung Tau is also a complex of works including the ancestral tower, main hall, bell tower, meditation hall, nunnery, guest house, etc. From afar, you can see a statue of fate holding a large lotus flower in hand. It stands out against the hilly landscape, attracting a large number of tourists here.

How to go to the temple: If you have come to Vung Tau, look for a road called Viba, you follow that road until the big fork, the right side is a slope, and right next to that slope there is a big fork. a guide to the temple. To get to the temple, I had to go through some winding passes, if you are not good at driving, choose to hire a taxi to ensure safety.

The most special feature of Chon Khong Monastery in Vung Tau is the giant golden Buddha statue sculpted extremely delicately and bearing the majesty of the Buddha. The statue is inaugurated in 2021. This statue is the highlight of the whole temple. The tall statue is placed next to the mountainside, facing the sea, the back facing the mountain. Create an extremely sacred and beautiful landscape.

Arriving there, you will immediately encounter the stone temple gate. After entering through the gate, you will encounter a large courtyard, where this is a place to keep cars for tourists to visit. The capacity of the parking lot is quite large and flat.

Inside the temple is very quiet and airy, divided into many different buildings, a house for overnight guests staying 4 floors at the entrance. To the right is the area for nuns.

To go further inside, you have to climb 500m stairs, along the path are rows of cool green trees, you can leisurely walk slowly and enjoy nature right now.

Going for a distance of about 300m, I came across an extremely interesting and eye-catching place, by the huge, majestic lion heads. Right there is a circular aquarium, above is a majestic mountain landscape with 4 majestic lion heads and a meditating Buddha statue right next to the cliff. What I find interesting about this miniature is that at the top of the mountain is a statue in the shape of a Buddha's hand holding a raised white lotus flower. Creates a feeling of serenity and peace of mind. Inside this lake is a long-tailed orange-red fish swimming in the water, the shadow of trees on the lake's surface creates an unforgettable scene in my heart.

Going further, you will meet the main hall of the temple, where this is a sanctuary and a place for chanting. On the eaves of the house, there are large wind chimes, each time the wind blows horizontally, the east wind chimes in the wind, creating a deep sound that makes me feel very peaceful and peaceful, making all worries disappear. , I love that sound so much. In front of the main hall is a wooden house with a large temple bell inside. The bell is made of brown bronze. In front of the outdoor bell is a lake with a round pearl in the middle the lake.

Right there you have to go further and you will see a real Vung Tau different from what you saw when you just walked around Vung Tau underground. Here I stand right at the foot of this big, great Buddha statue, I see a very poetic and wonderful Vung Tau, different from what I thought and what I have ever seen. Looking out into the distance is the entire landscape of Vung Tau in miniature in my eyes, on the right is a small mountain, and the beach in front, in front and on the left is the long blue sea. I have been sitting here for 2 hours looking at this peaceful sky. I was mesmerized by this poetic scene.

If you have the opportunity to come to Vietnam, especially Vung Tau, I think this is a great place not to be missed.
