Have You Seen Her? Vietnam’s Tallest Buddha Statue

25.jpg

Have you seen her?
This is the tallest Buddha statue in Viet Nam both scale and art of architecture. Locating (inside Linh Ung Temple) on the top of a hill overlooking the Bay of Da Nang and the East Sea, Lady Buddha is 67 meters in height and extraordinarily majestic. A very spectacular setting for worship as well as for picture taking.

The Lady Buddha statue is massive and pretty impressive. There are 17 floors in the statue lap and each has an altar with 21 Buddha statues with different postures, shapes and facial expression.

The construction of Linh Ung Pagoda (including Lady Buddha) started on June 2004 and it took six years to complete and opened to the public on July 2010.

The locals believe that the Pagoda was built to protect the city from typhoons as well as pray for the safety and prosperity of the local fishermen.

Lady Buddha herself is an incredible sight. In additional, the unique thing about this stunning destination is a impressive collection of bonsai trees which are all over the temple and they are just so elegant and understated.

To go into the temple you need to remove your shoes and make sure your legs and shoulders are good covered to enter.
The temples are very well kept and the architecture is really interesting. It's an incredible place to see the Buddhist cultures and definitely worth walking around and looking at the lovely statues and superb bonsai trees.

Another stunning complex with a sleeping Buddha which is slightly away from the rest of the temple complex. It's a lovely and tranquil area.

I would highly recommend to visit this beautiful, quiet and peaceful place for prayers or just to chill watching stunning views over Da Nang beach and beautiful sunset. Entrance is free and it's on the way to monkey mountain.

If you are comfortable on a bike, you can get here by your own as it's close and easy to access on a motorbike.

The drive there from the city is really pretty with lots of scenic views so well worth drive up. The views on the way up are spectacular. It is pretty easy drive and there is spacious parking where you leave a small donation for them to keep an eyes on your bike.
