Thailand has always been a destination for Europeans and Westerners to come and put there feet up on the many deck-chairs laid across the white powdery sandy beaches of Thailand, it is know that Thailand has some of the world's class beaches when it comes to tropical islands and this I can say in first hand experience having lived in Thailand now nearly 4 years I have traveled to a few islands and have seen many pristine beaches. Let me first introduce to you the main tourist beach of Phuket Island been Patong Beach a very touristy beach where many foreigners choosing to stay at this beach because of it's easy accessibilities to restaurants, accommodation and shopping malls.

I know and understand that for someone to choose to come and visit Thailand the Land of Smiles would be very confusing to know what part of Thailand do I go to, so I can get to choose the best of beaches and all within close distance of each other without wasting precious vacation time on traveling unnecessarily, well I found Phuket Island which is the largest island of Thailand fits into that category where you have over 30 beaches around the coastline of Phuket Island and that's not counting all the other individual islands with beaches on them scattered around the Andaman Sea of Phuket Island.

Why many tourist choosing to come to Phuket Island is because there are certain beaches like Kate Beach and Karon Beach that are both long stretches of white sand beaches and offer pretty good surfing conditions and at both of these beach locations they are not as crowded as the main Patong beach also accommodation at these beaches is much cheaper and you still have access to many fine restaurants and shopping malls just that it doesn't look like Patong Beach concrete jungle.

If you like to get away even further from the busier beaches then you got Nai Harn Beach about 30 minute drive away from Patong beach here you can enjoy the privileges of a more like a private beach with only one huge resort built in the side of the mountain and you only have your local food vendors around the beach to serve you with the best of Thai foods no other annoying vendors selling odds and ends are allowed on this beach so you can sit relax and read your favorite book without been constantly disturbed by vendors.

The Andaman Sea that surrounds Phuket Island known as the pearl of jewels is always sparkling with the most amazing sunsets and sunrises no matter what part of the island your on you will always see the most stunning sunsets or sunrises there is nothing more impressive then a great tropical sunset or sunrise. These were some sunsets coming back from the island of Phi Phi Island and Hong Island just gorgeous colors gleaming across the Andaman Sea.

Apart from all the stunning beaches that you will find on Phuket Island there are many astonishing view points that you can sit with your picnic basket a bottle of wine and just wait for that sunset to light up the Andaman Sea these are the most colorful, tranquil and romantic sunsets you will see on Phuket Island. This view point is known as the Windmill View Point which is located just in between Ya Nui and Nai Harn beaches on the south side of Phuket Island. Definitely a island that will not bore you with it's amazing beaches, views and sunsets one to put on your bucket-list.
