Since I have been living in Pattaya city, I have found it to be not only a cheap and comfortable city to live in but also a fun switched on city, a very vibrant coastal city from sunrise to sunset even though there are no tourist coming to this coastal city at the moment because of the pandemic the beaches are still brimming with life, with water sports lovers, joggers, walkers and the sun worshipers taking to the waters.
Pattaya city from once been a seedy beach town known more as a fishing village back in the 60's has now outgrown that image and has become a holiday destination for families, couples and business travelers, everything can be found here to suit everyone's criteria.
In the time, I have been living here to be honest, I was not getting out doing much walking around Pattaya city or the beaches not because, I was lazy or didn't want to, it's just that I was always busy working but lately, I have been making myself some free time to take walks and get to know the city and beaches better what, I have been seeing lately makes me feel so happy and free that, I am living in this beautiful city of Pattaya.
A couple of weeks ago, I was walking north along the Jomtien city coastal line and got as far as the province of Wongamat which is a high end of Pattaya city today, I continued on walking from where, I left of last time, heading further north along the coastline towards another high end province called Naklua Beach Town.
Pattaya city before the pandemic was catering for over five million annual visitors, offering a wide variety of resorts, hotels and condominiums for the longer stayers, people of all mix nationalities and ethnics from far and near use to flock to these resorts on these coastal beaches but today it, is a lot quieter and peaceful leaving many of these luxury resorts, hotels and condominiums by the beaches almost empty, hopefully for not much longer.
Pattaya city seaside and resorts is on the Eastern Gulf Coast of Thailand about 150 km from the capital city Bangkok, walking along this coastline stretch of Naklua Beach, which is on the northern end of Pattaya, it's not a big province but not excluded from the main center of Pattaya city, itself you can easily get to the center of Pattaya shopping area by bath bus in 10 minutes. Tourist mainly stay at these resorts in Naklua Beach because it's easily accessible to shopping malls, restaurants and shops also it has the most attractive clean blue water beaches.
Now would be the ideal time to be living here anywhere in Pattaya city you can rent one of these beach side apartments or condominium, a large one bedroom fully furnished with kitchen for as low as $350 US per/month completed luxury life style living. The condominium, I am renting myself is South Pattaya at Jomitien Beach, is only 5 minutes walk to the beach and I am paying only $250 US per/month.
Most of the high rise condominiums that you would stay in Naklua beach you have the view of the famous Thailand Temple the Sanctuary of Truth which is a one of a kind teak structure temple in Thailand all hand made crafted by skilled craftsman, this inspiring temple tells about the importance of religion, philosophy and it does so by all the hand crafted statues in and around the temple, I have visited this temple and been inside words do not justify how to describe this magnificent structured temple a must see if ever in Thailand.
If I was permanently living in Thailand, this would be the town , I would love to live in, for it's beautiful surrounding of nature, beaches and nice little bars on the beach, to escape for a cold beer by the sea side and it's quite not polluted and a great fishing area if you love fishing.
My walk along Naklua beach today really made me think if, I were to stay in Thailand for the next couple of years or more, this would be my next destination to move to, I just love how tranquil this area is and you are not far from anything this is millionaires style of living without needing to be a millionaire, I could handle these sunsets every evening from the balcony of one of them tall luxurious condominiums.
