Phuket Island in Thailand, is the biggest island in Thailand and the most famous destination that brings many foreigners who chose to come here for there summer vacations when the cold hits the Western and European countries, they are all here to enjoy the warmth of the Andaman Sea on Phuket Island, with it's numerous sandy beaches and blue waters marking, it fabulous for relaxing, snorkeling and diving, it becomes a paradise for foreigners and most, that end up on this island never want to return home for one reason apart from many others, it has exceptional warm climate mostly sunny all year round and even in monsoon season between May through to October, it might rain once or twice a day during this period but it's still warm, there is never any need for jumpers in tropical Phuket.
You will find after many foreigners have had the taste of Phuket Island they will leave there country to come and live on this side of the world. Thailand in general is a very open minded the Thai people are always thinking positive and have a humorous spirit, adapting to there culture is not difficult at all as, I have experienced in the past 3 years that, I have been living in Thailand.
Phuket Island is quite a huge island and has all the infrastructure needed to make this your home, it has a international airport that has flights coming in direct from other countries without having to stop over in Bangkok airport and this makes flying to other countries a breeze and your only one-and-a-half-hour flight to Bangkok city, if you wanted to go and visit the big smoke for the weekend. Phuket Island has been welcoming foreigners for decades now, with a only a population of almost 600,000 on this island 115,000 of them are expats that have made this there home and it's easy and way more affordable, to own a slice of your own paradise here.
What I love about Phuket Island, it's only around 48km from one end to the other end of this island and is only 20k wide you could do this on a day trip marking a couple of stops at some hidden beach or cocktails and lunch at Wassa Homemade Bar on top of the mountain overlooking Phuket city or you can get of the beaten track and do a bit of exploring that is the great thing about driving around this island there is so much to see numerous beaches, look out points with mountain rest bars all around island.
Of course Phuket is not just all about stunning beaches, there are mountains to climb, jungles to be explored with gushing waterfalls, national parks and if you are into golf there are 10 golf courses for every level golfer some even beachfront golf courses. And if you have no time to go to the jungle the wildlife will come to you π
