Koh Lao Lading Island, Phra Nang Cave Beach, Than Bok Khorani National Park, Krabi, Thailand.

Another beautiful day in Thailand, I am on my break from work for a whole month and nothing is going to stop me from exploring as much as I can in my month's break, yesterday morning I set of on another Long Tail Boat journey across the Andaman Sea this time heading to Koh Lao Lading Island, Phra Nang Cave and Beach and a walk around Than Bok Khorani National Park they are all in short distance between each other and the whole day trip cost me $45 US (1,500 Baht) including buffet lunch.

I was up at 6am yesterday morning to take the bus from the Phuket bus terminal costing me $1.20 US (40 Baht) the bus ride was just under one hour to Bang Rong Pier, from the pier you take the Long Tail Boat across the Andaman Sea to Koh Lao Lading, it takes about one hour to get you there or you can take the speed boat double the price and be there in 25 minutes but I find the Tail Boats more fun and exciting I love admiring all those limestone rocks protruding out of the ocean so colorful and green looking with all them trees growing out between the cracks of the rock.

Arriving at Koh Lao Lading Island after a smooth one hour journey across the Andaman Sea was like stepping of onto your own private island I felt like James Bond this was so lush and had a private feeling. I say traveling around Thailand at the moment is the best time without the crowds of tourist due to the pandemic it is cheap and easy to travel anywhere in Thailand at the moment.

Koh Lao Lading Island is not very big island at all but is very picturesque it has a lot of shady palm trees you can relax under and has two beautiful white sand bays that you can swim or snorkel, behind the island is Than Bok Khorani National Park, here you can take a walk into the forest and enjoy all the natural flora and ferns been on a day tour you don't really have enough time to enjoy and explore the national park if you were to stay at a nearby hotel or resort in Krabi village then you would spend a full day in this lush green national park having a swim under the many waterfalls throughout the national park.

After spending about 3 hours on Koh Lao Lading Island swimming, relaxing, enjoying the beautiful views and taking a short walk into the Than Bok Khorani National Park, it was time to move on to our next destination Phra Nang Cave and Beach which was only about 20 minute ride on the Long Tail Boat ride seeing more beautiful colorful limestone cliff walls along the way.

Getting closer to Phra Nang Cave Beach, I could see the from the boat this huge mountain with entrance holes up along side this mountains apparently you can enter the cave from below or climb the mountain and enter at a different levels very strange weird cave I even saw someone living in one of these caves in the limestone rock cruising towards Phra Nang Cave Beach.

The Phra Nang Caves are quite famous for there wonderful stalactites and stalagmites I was told due to the Covid situation there was no staff or guides to take us through the cave so I had to admire the cave from the outside which I didn't mind it was still awesome to see.

The Phra Nang Cave is also know as the Princess Cave many fisherman come to this cave to bring there offerings in what they believe there is a mythical sea princess living in this cave and she will protect them from danger and give them good luck while they are out at sea fishing. There are pathways around the back of the cave that you can follow around admiring the tall face cliff of this cave where you will also see people climbing this tall cliff face.

Phra Nang Beach was very beautiful not a huge beach but clean crystal blue waters and soft fine white sand just like a tropical island should look like and another fine day spend in paradise the day was very eventful and interesting, and it was time to return to the mainland another paradise island I can strike of my bucket list.
