Strolling through the garden on the hill, also known as parish of wagons.
Just 10 minutes by car from the big city of Funchal, on the island of Madeira.
In addition to the fantastic views over the city, we walk along the footpaths of the huge gardens of this place, there are many exotic flowers, places to sit where, in addition to enjoying nature, we can smell the flowers and the colors that contrast with the green, creating an enchanting scene.
the sweet aroma and the breeze that was felt made the climate lighter as the temperature was around 27 degrees celcius and in the sun it becomes unbearable

Although we took the route over the garden, our objective was very clear and precise, we wanted to walk in the main tourist activity on the island, the baskets, with more than a century of history, which is a unique means of transport in the world.

It is a drag vehicle that accommodates 2 or 4 people (originally it was only 2)
all in wood with 2 boards at the bottom in a snowboard board greased with lard.

Behind the seats are 2 men dressed in typical uniforms and white hats who control the wagon by means of ropes under the tarred floor that the lard makes slide easily by friction.

Men, called carreiros, wear field boots made of leather.
and with thick rubber sole.
that works like a brake whenever they want to slow down, or even stop.

currently the trip has a route of 2 km, which lasts about 10 to 15 minutes depending on the traffic because the road still circulates cars.
reaches a speed that reaches close to 50 km per hour in some places of the same.
It promises a lot of fun for families and costs 15 euros per person, single tickets.

Eager for an exciting adventure, because if you go to Madeira you really have to ride one of these, I embarked on this adventure and held on while the experienced trails glided under the tarmac.
through the streets with curves and down the mountain, I felt the sensation of freedom and admiration in front of the landscape that unfolds at the end of each curve.

At the end, there is a cafe and convenience store selling photos of our experience, among others.
I couldn't stop drinking a fresh juice that the heat was already tightening.
The climb back to the mountain can be done on foot, which I do not recommend, or by taxi, which costs around 15 euros and leaves you back at the starting point.
As I had a car but I'm stubborn I decided to try to go up the road but gave up halfway through and called a taxi.
I walked approximately 1 km but it is very steep and extremely difficult to climb on foot.

It's been 2 days since I left here but as I'm on vacation I was a little late because I've been going out to eat and enjoy it until late here in the bars and restaurants of Madeira
