Vrnjacka Banja is located in Central Serbia, Raska region. It is located in the valley of the river Zapadna Morava. It is protected from the south, east and west by the mountain Goč ... while the chain of Gledićki mountains protects it from the winds from the north. The spa area is located at 220 m above sea level, and two rivers Lipovačka and Vrnjačka pass through the spa itself.
The center of Vrnjačka Banja ... above the waterfall which is arranged there is a lookout point to which the arranged road leads, but I climbed the goat path and returned that way ....
From the top, through the trees, you can see the mountain Goč, which almost embraces Vrnjačka Banja.
As I was descending, I came across a ruin, a former villa ... It still looked beautiful ... despite the obvious damage...
There is also a cafe ... the day was gray but I did not lack of will to explore...
And again a few small waterfalls..
Vrnjacka Banja was inhabited in prehistory, where archeological findings confirm that they used springs. And the healing properties of water can be heard for the first time from the Romans ...
They built a spa, and a source of hot water ...
In ancient times, the spa and hot water were highly valued and as a sign of gratitude to the Gods, they threw coins into the spring ... One of them was preserved and built ... so that visitors could see how long these springs were valued and known ...
And here are the famous Vrnjačka thermal baths ...
Pieces of a large space ... Thermal water that is unique with a temperature that is like a body temperature of 36.5C ...
The spa is fantastic, I am thrilled because I bathed in hot water for the first time ... And the experience is indescribable ...
I still wandered and there is another source that I visited, but I will talk about that another time..
