In The Lap of Mountains - Lansdawne Hill Station (20 Photos)

Living in busy city like Delhi, people always look out for nearby hill station gateaway from the city chaos and mess. Everyone get pissed out inside city with the monotonous routine of work comprises of traffic-office-traffic-home.

So they usually opt out for weekend to live their life and that is reason the nearby station came into picture. It happens with us too. Usually every month or so, we get suffocated with the city life that we chose to go on weekend outing. Our choice of place is Lansdawne, which is usually a small market place and not of rush, but full of nature and fresh air.

Lansdowne is a hill station in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is situated at an altitude of 1780 mts above sea level surrounded with thick oak and blue pine forests.

So whenever , we get a chance we simply, move out of concrete jungle (city life) to be among the journey. It is 258 KM away from Delhi, so an overnight journey if 6 hrs will take us on to a different heaven.

I simply rewind myself completelly, whenever I get to this place. Especially when we are with our friend. Happiness, Freedom, Peace, Tranquality, we can easily get a place to refresh completelly.

We never feel tired, walking along the steep mountain slope...thanks to the local millitart establishment, they do provide a complete clean roadway. We can take a long walk.

After spending some good weekend moments, we were getting ready to get back to our usual life. Though heart doesnt allow us to do , but life just pulls us back to our real life.

Slowly, Lansdawne become our favourite destination. Unlike other hill station, the place is very quite and not much of rush. Even there are very limited accomadation option, and food option.

Major attraction of Lansdawne

  • St. Marry Church.
  • Maha Kaleshwar Temple
  • Bhulla Tal (waterfront)

But a nice place to refresh yourself completely. The nature is quite beautiful.

Peace
