Para mí, cualquier paseo que involucre a la playa, es atractivo. Esta vez los llevaré a conocer una ruta que hice por el estado La Guaira, en Venezuela, en la que disfruté de paisajes de montaña y mar, una combinación que es Caribe puro.
The day of the excursion woke up cloudy and with a slight drizzle, something that discouraged me a bit because it is not very pleasant to go up the mountain with rain and muddy ground, but I still went with my sister and at 6:30 a.m. we arrived to Altamira Square in Caracas, where the bus and the rest of the group were waiting for us. When we were all there, more or less at 7:30 am, we left for La Guaira.
El día de la excursión amaneció nublado y con una leve llovizna, algo que me desanimó un poco porque no es muy agradable subir por la montaña con lluvia y que el suelo se enlode, pero igual me fui con mi hermana y a las 6:30 am llegamos a la plaza Altamira en Caracas, donde nos esperaba el autobús y los demás compañeros del grupo. Cuando estábamos todos, más o menos a las 7:30 am, salimos hacia La Guaira.
While we were going on the highway towards this coastal area in the center of the country that is about half an hour from Caracas, the weather improved and when we reached the town of Anare, where we were going to start the route, there was already bright sun.
Mientras íbamos por la autopista hacia esta zona costera del centro del país que queda a una media hora de Caracas, el tiempo fue mejorando y al llegar al pueblo de Anare, donde íbamos a comenzar la ruta, ya había sol radiante.
The start of the walk is uphill between several houses built on the mountain until reaching a part where the road is dirt and you can observe the relaxing landscape of the sea.
El inicio de la caminata es en ascenso entre varias casas construidas en la montaña hasta llegar a una parte donde el camino es de tierra y puedes observar el relajante paisaje del mar.
In that area there were no longer many houses, we saw one or another inside several fields that are around there and we greet some residents that we met on the path.
En esa zona ya no había muchas casas, vimos una que otra dentro de varios sembradíos que hay por ahí y saludamos a algunos pobladores que nos encontramos por el sendero.
At first we didn't feel the heat as much because we were going through tall vegetation but later on there were almost no trees and the sun fell directly on our heads.
Al principio no sentimos tanto el calor porque íbamos entre vegetación alta pero más adelante ya no había casi árboles y el sol caía directo en nuestras cabezas.
This route from the town of Anare to Los Caracas beach is about 15 km long and runs along the coast through the mountains. On one side we see Fila del Indio (Indian Row) and Fila Maestra (Master Row) of the Ávila or Waraira Repano National Park and on the other side the landscape of the Caribbean Sea appears.
Esta ruta desde el pueblo de Anare hasta la playa Los Caracas tiene unos 15 km y bordea la costa por la montaña. Por un lado vemos la Fila del Indio y la Fila Maestra del Parque Nacional El Ávila o Waraira Repano y por el otro lado aparece el paisaje del mar Caribe.
One of the things that I liked the most about this area is the abundant greenery it has, surely apart from the birds and butterflies that I saw, more fauna such as deer and felines (cougars, ocelots) must appear at night, animals that I have read inhabit these mountains.
Una de las cosas que más me gustó de esta zona es el abundante verdor que tiene, seguramente aparte de las aves y las mariposas que vi, en horas nocturnas debe aparecer más fauna como venados y felinos (pumas, cunaguaros), animales que he leído habitan estas montañas.
After about five hours of walking, at noon we arrived at a building known as Hotel Tibisay, which according to the mate who served as a guide on this route, indicated that we were already close to Los Caracas river and with the heat it was doing we all wanted to get there soon to cool off.
Luego de unas cinco horas de caminata, al mediodía llegamos a una edificación conocida como Hotel Tibisay, lo que según nos había dicho el compañero que hizo de guía en esta ruta, indicaba que ya estábamos cerca del río Los Caracas y con el calor que hacía todos anhelábamos llegar allí pronto para refrescarnos.
Once in the river I got in for a while with the rest of the group, the water was at a very pleasant temperature, my sister didn't want to bathe but she waited for me to eat together what we had brought: pasta with vegetables.
Una vez en el río me metí un rato junto a los demás compañeros del grupo, el agua estaba de una temperatura muy agradable, mi hermana no quiso bañarse pero me esperó para comer juntas lo que habíamos llevado: pasta con vegetales.
We spent more or less an hour on the river relaxing and then we continued walking to reach Los Caracas beach, very close to there. It was already after four in the afternoon, some of them took a beach bath as well and others, like my sister and I, spent time exploring the place a bit.
Estuvimos más o menos una hora en el río relajándonos y luego seguimos caminando para llegar a la playa Los Caracas, muy cerca de allí. Ya eran más de las cuatro de la tarde, algunos se dieron un baño de playa también y otros, como mi hermana y yo, nos dedicamos a explorar un poco el lugar.
The beaches of La Guaira are one of the most visited in the country, especially by the people who live in Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, since they are very close.
Las playas de La Guaira son unas de las más visitadas del país, sobre todo por la gente que vive en Caracas, la capital venezolana, ya que quedan muy cerca.
In this place is also Los Caracas Vacation City, a tourist complex inaugurated in 1955 to serve as a recreational space for the working class. After many years of neglect, it recently started operating again and offers a hotel, cabins, restaurant and recreational areas.
En este lugar está también la Ciudad Vacacional Los Caracas, un complejo turístico inaugurado en 1955 para servir como espacio de esparcimiento para la clase trabajadora. Luego de muchos años de abandono, hace poco volvió a funcionar y ofrece hotel, cabañas, restaurante y áreas recreativas.
There this excursion ended, that was the meeting point with the bus that at approximately 6:00 in the afternoon took us back to Caracas.
Allí terminó esta excursión, ese era el punto de encuentro con el autobús que aproximadamente a las 6:00 de la tarde nos llevó de regreso a Caracas.
