After sunrise at Mesa Arch we headed over to Green River Overlook. You can see a little of the Green River in the upper right of the picture.
Canyonlands National Park
Canyonlands is a huge park with over 330,000 acres. There are 4 districts divide by the Green and Colorado Rivers.

Rivers
Both Mesa Arch and Green River Overlook are in the Island in the Sky section of Canyonlands National Park.
This was a special spot for me. It is really quite a feeling to be at 6000 feet and looking down into this stunning landscape.
The beauty was surprisingly moving for me. I got very emotional looking out over this beautiful creation.
I have been to the Grand Canyon, which it was similar too multiple times. I think this experience was special because it was surprising and it felt more intimate and I was really enjoying the people I was with.
The surrounding area and of course pictures of a tree! Juniper to be exact.
Thanks for joining me on the stop at Green River Overlook. It was truly special. If you are going to be at Mesa Arch I highly suggesting driving the .9 miles (3 minutes) to see and experience this view.
