In todays blog I will be sharing some photos of my trip to a Buddha Temple situated in Dehradun. Budha temple is a Tibetian Monastery. It is also known as Mindrolling Monastery and was built in 1965. It was built by its eminence Kochen Rinpoche and few other monks.
I went to this place when our college took us to a south trip. We covered all the states of south along with them we also discovered this beauty. I don't think any place can be peaceful as this one. Monks chanting prayers a beautiful weather and this place is all that a human can crabe when he's stressed.
When I reached there I had a conversation with one of the monks and he told me that this monastery was built for the protection of religious and cultural understanding of Buddhism. This Monastery is built in Japanese Architecture style. This complex provides a atmosphere that provides a mental equal peace to the Buddhist monks. This temple is known as 'Nyigma' whereas the schools are known as Kagya, Geluk, Sakya. This complex was built as the 4 schools for the Tibetian religion.
Buddha Temple is situated in Clement town, Dehradun and is easily accessible by road.
Buddha Monastery is believed to be the largest Buddhist reliquary in Asia. This temple is really famous and is visited by thausands of people as well as International Buddhism lovers.
This Monastery is huge it's holy place is situated 220 feet in hight from the ground and the five floors are enshine many statues of Lord Buddha. The first three floors have ornate walls that catches everyone's eyes and makes them stunned. These paintings were painted by pure gold colour and were painted by more than 50 artists and can you guys imagine this took them over 300 years to paint them. That is insane right?
Another main attraction of this temple is in it's fourth floor. The open circle viewing platform provides you a full view of Dehradun by reaching out through a steep wooden ladder. The 103 feet statue of Lord Buddha is another attraction of this place.
This place is so beautiful and filled with serinity. I felt so lucky while having a look of this monastery. Every little thing of this monastery is very charming and is created with so much patience that makes it even more beautiful.
Buddha Monastery also has a shopping complex which has a good collection of books in Tibetian language. Some shops also sell handicrafts, aircrafts and clothes. About 500 lamas live and study in this monastery. My experience here was really good. I felt alive and peaceful from inside. I didn't wanted to leave this place as it was a perfect example of beauty, peace and joy together.
