Memorable Trip to Baguio City - Day 1: Botanical Garden

After a day of strolling Metro Manila, our second day will be a fulfilling and fun-filled trip to Baguio City. Our first time riding a 6-hour roller coaster bus trip just to arrive at our dream destination, the summer capital of the Philippines - Baguio City.

From Taguig McKinley Hill, we woke up around 2 am so that we could go to Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange earlier to ride a bus going to Baguio City @ 4:30 in the morning trip. We don't have any booked tickets yet going to Baguio City because the online booking of bus tickets are fully booked so we need to hurry up at the bus station and get tickets from the ticketing booth. Luckily, we got available tickets!

It was around 4:30 in the morning when the bus engine started, signals that we would be leaving any minute from the bus station. I was thrilled but excited at the same time. It was not easy going up to the place, feels like a roller-coaster ride for there were places where the road was too narrow and bumpy and mountainous area. On the other hand, happy to be free, visit my dream place, and experience how cold the weather is.

While traveling, you can feel that the weather going north is getting colder. Luckily, comfort rooms were available inside the bus which gives the passenger the comfort that they need when it's calling. Because the bus is nonstop, good thing we bring some food and will not get hungry on our way up.

We arrive at exactly 9:45 in the morning. Earlier than I thought. When we arrived, we sent messages to our booked room because we hadn't booked a tour guide for our trip and we just made our plan to lessen the budget. And because it was too early for us to stay in our booked room, we asked their permission if we could just leave our things, and if our rooms were ready they could just drop our things inside the room. Without hesitation, the owner agreed. Without a second thought, clothes changed for 10 minutes, and proceeded to our itinerary for the day. Time is gold so we need to hurry up and grab our important things to our first destination.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

This is our first venue here in Baguio City. And as we arrived, expected a lot of tourists to come in to see the view inside. Before we can get in, we need to pay the entrance fee of Php100.00.

The greeneries around is so relaxing. Even if it's too hot today, the cold breeze of the wind is so comforting. You can walk around like you don't worry about the sun. There are a lot of pine trees, wonderful displays of flowers in their garden, different parks for picture taking, and food to eat inside.

This amazing view will surely grab your attention. This is one of the Japanese parks that we went to and took some pictures of. Near this sign is a tunnel but we didn't go inside. The bamboo grasses around this Japanese Park are so relaxing. You can sit around with a lot of chairs and vacant spaces were prepared for visitors.

Next, you also have the Korean and Chinese-inspired parks. Here, it reminds us of Korean and Chinese dramas. You can rest for a while and take pictures in between. It was so fulfilling in the place as if you're aura was in other countries.

On the inner portion, you can see the different flower displays. You can roam around and see its beauty or if you want, you can buy some for your loved ones. There are flowering pots, ornamental plants, and succulents too. And for the first time, I've seen bigger succulent sizes being displayed in the garden. It was awesome!

After roaming around, an hour will not be enough to tour every corner of this beautiful garden, we've seen "Igorot" dresses being displayed on the side. With so much love for their stunning costume, we rented costumes for only Php 50.00 for picture taking. It was a nice feeling wearing their costume and trying to fit in how they dressed up. The color combinations of their clothes and the beautiful headrests are very unique.

It was a day full of wonders. No time wasted seeing nature, the sceneries around you, and the people you meet along the way.

That's all for today's blog my dear Hive friends. I hope you had a great day reading my blog.

Have a nice day everyone😊
