A painter born in mystical Transylvania. He had to live in Moldova, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and finally Ukraine. Somewhere the artist was considered "undesirable", somewhere the creative personality was suppressed by military duties. And this allowed the painter to open up better.
Art critic Olena Polyanska noted the artist's constant attraction to the image of workers: loggers, collective farmers, to their existence in the fields and mountains. This is a notable feature of the work of a realist artist.

The work that brought Gluck European fame was the painting "Lumberjacks", written in 1954. Step by step, the author approached the implementation of his plan, performed many sketches. In the centre of the composition "Lumberjacks" - the figures of two young loaders. One of them, in a white shirt, stepped over the deck, the other leaned over: the dynamics of life are multilingual and optimistic. In 1958, Gluck was awarded a large silver medal at the World's Fair in Brussels for his painting The Lumberjacks.

Then, Gavrilo moved to Romania in 1933, where he was almost immediately sent to the army for a year and a half. After demobilization in the spring of 1936, the artist was unable to travel to Czechoslovakia due to his citizenship, where his parents were, and he had to go to live in Bucharest.
After Bessarabia joined the Soviet Union, Gavrilo Martynovych entered the second year of the art school in Chisinau. But all his plans were thwarted by World War II. Gluck was mobilized into the labour army: he worked in the technical connection, on the construction of the railway and other facilities in Dnepropetrovsk, Elista, Stalingrad.

The idea to create a mini-monument to the famous artist by sculptor Mykhailo Kolodko originated in 2011. It took a year from conception to realization of the idea, and on a tiny stretch of road between hundreds of cars, another one appeared - you won't see it anywhere else today.
