Hi everybody. How was your last week? I have a busy week and a great weekend getaway.
There are very strange people… they don't like the bustling, shimmering city; they don't like to stay at home with warm blankets and soft mattresses... but prefer deserted places, without electricity, without internet.
I am such a person too! Today I will take you to a special small island in the middle of Tri An hydroelectric lake.
I used to have another article about Tri An lake, you can review it here
Tri An Lake is very large with an area of 323 km², it is like the sea.
In the middle of the lake, there are many small islands, today's destination is one of them, the special thing is that it has a heart shape.
The island is located deep in the Ma Da forest area of Dong Nai cultural nature reserve.
To come here, I took a car from Ho Chi Minh City and parked the car in Ma Da.
Then get on a small boat and spend 30 minutes floating on the lake to reach the island.
The unspoiled island has few tourist footprints, next to it is a mysterious pristine primeval forest amidst a green color of leaves.
Occasionally you will see schools of fish swimming by or kingfishers hunting.
In the afternoon, after going to the island to set up camp, we watched the sunset gradually fall on the vast calm lake.
In the evening is a familiar program of BBQ parties.
There are local specialties here, venison, grilled red-tailed salmon with salt and pepper, grilled kingfish... of course, I have to buy it from the market and fishermen, but with an amateur hunting level, I can only eat instant noodles. or fasting.
Eat, drink, chat, watch the stars with friends.
The next morning we welcomed the dawn and drank a rich cup of coffee on the golden lake.
Then there is the sport that I love very much, paddle gently floating on the deep blue lake.
For those who like peace, simplicity, rustic... 2 gentle weekends will dispel a lot of life pressure.
Thank you for reading my post and have a great week ahead.
