VILLA MORANDO: an unexplored treasure

VIEW ON PINMAPPLE

In october 2020, I was walking around a small town called Lograto ( province of Brescia, Italy). The mayor invited me to enter Villa Morando, the town hall seat. I took some photos because the frescoed interior were amazing!

The villa is a 7th century architecture and was originally inhabited by Count Giovanni Calini, then ceded in the 90s to the Municipal Administration to build the new municipal headquarters. The pictorial surfaces had long been hidden under the plasters, so the Villa was restaurated in 2020. The complete removal of scyalbatures, cleanliness and pictorial integration have contributed to the rebirth of a part of the interior of the Villa.
