That day, my friends and I gathered happily in the living room. A spontaneous plan emerged and our eyes lit up when the idea of a trip to Raja Ampat came to us. There is no hesitation and decisions are made together. The journey begins, taking us to a hidden paradise in Indonesia.
Preparation for Sea Paradise, Armed with a map, compass, and a sense of adventure, we began planning our trip. Airline tickets, entry permits, and trekking equipment are popular topics we discuss. We prepared food and tents for our climbing trip.
When night fell, we gathered to discuss the details of the trip in detail and develop a strategy to explore the beauty of Raja Ampat. We felt like an expedition team preparing to explore a new world, and the story of our journey began to be written before we even took the first step.
Arrived at Ocean Paradise
The plane landed in Sorong, the gateway to the Raja Ampat Islands. We were greeted by warm tropical air and the friendly smiles of the locals. A traditional wooden boat waited in the harbor to take us across the turquoise waters to the island where our hiking adventure began.
The first walking trail on Waikio Island
Our first step into the land of Raja Ampat felt like entering a fairy tale world. Waikio Island offers stunning views: lush forests, white sandy beaches, and rolling hills that demand adventure. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, we began climbing higher, leaving our first footprints in this exotic land.
Climb to the top of Mount Saraswati
Saraswati Island is our main destination. Climbing Saraswati Peak was a big challenge but the spirit of adventure burned within us. The challenging trail took us through wilderness and steep slopes. Every step is accompanied by the sound of waves and the chirping of exotic birds.
When we reached the top of the mountain, the stunning view was truly eye-opening. The panoramic beauty of Raja Ampat, including its small islands and stunning coral reefs, relieved our fatigue. We stood on the top of the mountain, enjoying the sea breeze and celebrating our success together.
Explore the underwater world
Adventures in Raja Ampat are not limited to land alone. After conquering Mount Saraswati, we headed to the sea to explore the beauty of the underwater world. Snorkeling on colorful coral reefs and meeting various typical Raja Ampat fish makes us feel like we are in an open aquarium.
Cree Island Night
Kerry Island was our stopover overnight. We camped on the beach and lit a campfire under the stunning starry skies of Raja Ampat. Listening to the sound of the waves crashing while telling stories about our adventures filled the night with warmth.
Hidden view on Gam Island
Gam Island hides wonders waiting to be discovered. Led by a local guide, we walked through a dense jungle and discovered a hidden waterfall. Beautiful waterfalls and natural baths were an unexpected blessing during our trip.
Return to Sorong with lasting memories
Our climbing adventure reached its peak when we returned to Sorong. Every step we took brought home beautiful memories, new experiences, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of Raja Ampat. We don't just share land routes.
