Halloween y la canción criolla coinciden el mismo 31 de octubre en el Perú/ Halloween and the Creole song coincide on the same 31st of October in Peru.

Entre las celebraciones que he tenido la suerte participar en mis viajes a través del mundo hay una en particular que les recomiendo que realicen aunque sea una vez en la vida.

En Lima, Perú el 31 de octubre la magia del Halloween se combina con una tradición que desde 1944 se denomina “Día de la Canción Criolla” y tiene como objetivo difundir tan importante y nutrido de refinadas letras y bailes género musical.

De esta manera en el día los niños pueden lucir sus disfraces de Halloween y realizar “el compartir” en el colegio rodeado de ricos platos típicos y propios de la basta gastronomía peruana escuchando música criolla o “música mestiza”

En la tarde/noche salen a pedir dulce o truco en los vecindarios, plazas y/o centros comerciales donde se rinde homenaje a la canción criolla también. Es agradable ver como los niños aprenden a compartir e intercambiar sus preciados dulces sin importar la forma, ni el tamaño de los mismos.

Finalizada la jornada de los niños la ocasión es propicia para asistir a los diferentes espacios culturales y Peñas para empezar la llamada "Jarana Criolla" y disfrutar de las actividades preparadas para el día que incluyen todo sobre la historia y relevancia cultural del género musical en cuestión, además de poder disfrutar de clases maestras de cajón criollo con bailes.

Lo mejor de todo es que el 1ro de noviembre en el desayuno familiar se puede apreciar todavía las telarañas, los globos, las calabazas y todas las huellas dejadas por los comedores de dulces de la casa sin dejar de escuchar el tararear de los mayores remembrando las canciones escuchadas la noche anterior de los reconocidos Felipe Pinglo Alva, Chabuca Granda, Óscar Avilés, el 'Zambo' Cavero, entre otros.

The best of all is that on the 1st of November at the family breakfast you can still appreciate the spider webs, balloons, pumpkins and all the traces left by the candy eaters of the house without forgetting to listen to the humming of the adults recalling the songs heard the night before by the renowned Felipe Pinglo Alva, Chabuca Granda, Óscar Avilés, el 'Zambo' Cavero, among others.
