Hello everyone,
Today I am going to post about my experience of visiting Sissu, Himachal Pradesh. Sissu is a town situated at about 3000m from sea level. Yes that’s a very high altitude town. It’s covered with snow for about 9 months. During this time of late summers, there can be some greenery over there.
I visited Sissu in my trusty 4X4 Gypsy. It was a great off road ride reaching to Sissu waterfall that is shown in the first photograph.
My Gypsy looks really great in the cold dessert of Sissu valley.
During this period of year, there is some kind of greenery in the mountains as you can see. Although the land is very fertile, the cultivation of any kind of crop is really difficult in this region due to cold weather.
During is green period of 2-3 months, people can cultivate some land to grow some kind of vegetables. Cabbage and potatoes are the vegetables that are grown mostly in this region.
These are cabbage fields enroute Sissu Waterfall.
The roads in this interior region of Sissu are not really good. Only a 4X4 can reach here as you can see.
There is a short trek to the waterfall from the last point where vehicles can be parked.
In this photograph you can see my Gypsy parked while I trekked to the waterfall.

And here’s the Sissu waterfall in its full glory. It’s about 150-200ft high waterfall. It looks really majestic. It’s usually frozen during winter time.

A little bit ahead of waterfall was is amazing beach like place on the bank of Chandra river.
We enjoyed the sunset over there. It was really a beautiful place to witness the sunset.
These are the places that very less people visit. Most people think that the beauty of Sissu town lies only in the view, rive and mountains seen from there but very less people actually try to go near to those mountains and river.
I tried to show you people the best possible views and experiences that I had.
