I continue my journey with you to show you on this occasion more images (with some comments) of the stunning beauty of the Venezuelan Gran Sabana, a journey that I began some days ago with the publication The Gran Sabana: contact with the magic of the Earth.

In this opportunity we will visit the Salto Kamá Merú and the waterfall Arapán Merú, better known as Quebrada de Pacheco. I hope you like it.

Prosigo mi viaje con ustedes para mostrarles en esta ocasión más imágenes (con algunos comentarios) de la impactante belleza de la Gran Sabana venezolana, periplo que inicié hace algunos días atrás con la publicación La Gran Sabana: contacto con la magia de la Tierra.

En esta oportunidad visitaremos el Salto Kamá Merú y la cascada Arapán Merú, mejor conocida como Quebrada de Pacheco. Espero sea de su agrado.

Salto Kamá Merú

For those who love direct contact with nature, waterfalls and impressive photographs, the Kamá Merú Waterfall is one of the favorite places in the Gran Sabana due to the beautiful spectacle offered by its waters that fall permanently. I was moved to see this fascinating spring in the heart of the ancestral land.

Para los amantes del contacto directo con la naturaleza, de las cascadas y de las fotografías que impresionen, el Salto Kamá Merú es uno de los sitios preferidos de la Gran Sabana por el hermoso espectáculo que brindan sus aguas en permanente caída. A mí me conmovió ver ese fascinante manantial en pleno corazón de la tierra ancestral.

I took this photograph from the viewpoint located at the top of the Kamá Merú Falls. The waterfall is approximately 50 meters long. To be there is to feel the immensity of nature.

Arapán Merú o Quebrada de Pacheco

We arrive at Arapán Merú, in the indigenous Pemón dialect, better known as La Quebrada de Pacheco. This place is the paradise for all those who enjoy the delights of a bath in the deep water pools.

Llegamos a Arapán Merú, en dialecto pemón, mejor conocida como La Quebrada de Pacheco. Este lugar es el paraíso para todos aquellos que disfrutan de las delicias de un baño en las pozas de aguas profundas.

One of the biggest advantages of La Quebrada de Pacheco for the family group is that it has many pools or natural pools with different levels of height, ranging from a few centimeters, for the enjoyment of the little ones, to hollows where adults have fun throwing themselves into the water from the mountain.

Here we have a set of photographs from the top of La Quebrada de Pacheco. As can be seen in this sample, the stream is so shallow, because we were there in the corresponding time of summer, that it allows us to observe the different shades and texture of the large stone plate that serves as the river bed.

Aquí tenemos un conjunto de fotografías de la parte superior de La Quebrada de Pacheco. Como se puede observar en esta muestra, la corriente tiene tan poca profundidad, debido a que estuvimos allí en la época correspondiente al verano, que nos permite observar los distintos matices y textura de la gran placa de piedra que sirve como lecho del río.

This pool is the one with the largest influx of people in La Quebrada de Pacheco, because the big and small jumpers enjoy throwing themselves again and again from the heights. It is quite a sight to watch them climb the mountain slopes and then watch them fly through the air before hearing the refreshing sound as their bodies enter the water.

Esta poza es la de mayor afluencia de personas en La Quebrada de Pacheco, porque los saltadores grandes y pequeños gozan lanzándose una y otra vez desde las alturas.
