RE: The Royal Thai Air Force Museum - Science, Engineering, History and a Great Day Out!

Oh yes! I remember those tricks but here it's not so sophisticated, it's normally the direct approach like charging foreigners extra. We went to a theme park a few years back and for locals, you just paid about a quid to get in and then paid for whatever ride you went on but for me I had to pay the full, all rides day rate! We had some friends from the Philippines with us and the guy speaks Thai and we were watching the girl selling tickets who just knew he wasn't Thai but daren't call him out as he stood smiling at her...

As for food and drink, unless you're in some premium downtown restaurant, prices are very much same same wherever you eat.

Back home, its the prices of National Trust and English Heritage sites that I baulk at. We came over with some friends and all they wanted to see were castles and Stonehenge. Twenty Five frigging quid each to stand and stare at some stones! I understand these places take some upkeep but they seriously take the piss.
