Sky Ranch

One of the happiest places that everyone would agree on is amusement parks. A lot of fun times, thrills and memories are made here. Today I would take you with us to an amusement park located in the uplands of Tagaytay City, Philippines. One of the most popular tourist spots in the city is now going back to regular operation.

Let's go to "Sky Ranch".

1.jpg

The park is open daily from 9:00 am up until 10 pm. The place is pet friendly as long as your pets wear diapers inside the park. Safety health protocols are strictly implemented inside and a face mask is required. Bringing food from outside is strictly prohibited but there are a lot of restaurants and food stalls inside.

Entrance Fee:

100 pesos ($1.90 usd) per person

After going thru a thermal scanner and security check, you will be greeted by this big space with food stalls in the middle.

This is near the entrance of the park and it is divided into two parts which are phase 1 and 2. We went to the left side first which is phase 1.

RIDES

There are different prices for each ride in Sky Ranch. You have an option to buy a ride all you can ticket for around 980 pesos ($18.65 usd).

But you can also find online vouchers and offers that would only charge you for 390 pesos ($7.42 usd) for a ride all you can day pass.

Drop tower

The very first ride that you would see in phase 1 of the park. If you love the excitement and being dropped from a height this ride is for you. Each time you are raised up in the tower you would never know when you will be dropped. Up there you would have a great view of the entire park and then unexpectedly dropped.

If you do not have a ride all you can pass price for this drop is 100 pesos ($1.90 usd).

Sky Eye

All amusement parks are not complete without a Ferris Wheel. The Sky Eye will lift you up 63 meters from the ground. There are 32 cabins which have air-conditioning that has a capacity of 4 passengers. The best experience for this ride is at night so you could enjoy the beautiful lights that change colors every second.

Ticket cost is 150 pesos ($2.85 usd).

Carousel

Beautifully decorated and always feels nostalgic, carousels play a very important part in an amusement park. Going around and around on horses while music plays in the background gives us that warm feeling inside. Bring back memories from our childhood as you see the horses pass by.

Ride cost is 50 pesos ($0.95 usd)

Super Viking

If you like being swung back and forth like a Viking ship on a treacherous ocean this is a ride for you. One of the rides that I swore never to try again. If you think it is just like a very large swing, then think again. It felt like being dropped again and again with no end, like dropping from a roller coaster multiple times.

The ride cost 100 pesos ($1.90 usd)

19.jpg

Red Baron

There are also a lot of kiddie rides here. Planes rides are a favorite of kids and their imagination flies along with this ride. It goes around and also goes up and down.

Ride cost is 50 pesos ($0.95 usd)

Toy Swing

What fun is it to ride on this swing that goes around and almost makes it feel like flying. I wish they had a toy swing for adults.

Ride cost is 50 pesos ($0.95 usd)

City Rail

Stop, look and listen as the train is passing by. If I were still a kid I would make a tantrum if I did not get a chance to ride this train. Hearing the bell as the train passes by definitely attracts the children to take a train ride.

Ride cost is 80 pesos ($1.52 usd)

Nitro Drift

This is the ride that we enjoyed the most. You can race with your friends a family on go-carts on this track. It is very enjoyable but my only complaint is the track is too short. Other than that you would almost think of buying one for personal use to race around your neighborhood as it is highly enjoyable.

The ride cost 100 pesos ($1.90 usd)

Rebound

The object of the game is to bounce off a ball on the board and should fall into the box below. If you win choose a fluffy stuffed toy.

An easy game in which you just need to hook a duck. The catch is you need to hook a certain number of ducks to win a prize.

2-5 ducks - small prize
6-14 ducks - medium prize
15-28 ducks - large prize
29 -44 ducks - giant prize

If you have a lot of cash then this game is for you.

If you get the darts inside the cards without hitting the borders 4 times in a row you win a prize.

Cost for four darts 100 pesos ($1.90 usd)

46.jpg

47.jpg

Looney Ladder

Use only your hands and feet. Reach the end of the ladder and ring the bell to win a prize. Looks easy but extremely difficult to achieve as the ladder will twist on your every move.

Cost for one try 100 pesos ($1.90 usd)

After getting tired from all the rides and games there are places here where you could rest for a while. They still have the Christmas trees up and it's March already but it gives a relaxing vibe and extends the holiday feel.

50.jpg

Sky Ranch is an amazing place to take your friends and family. Prices for the rides are reasonable but the games are a bit expensive as your chances of winning are very slim. Overall, it is a place that should never be missed if you ever visit Tagaytay Philippines.
