Making Memories at Paradise Hills Mountain Resort in Compostela, Cebu

Greetings to you my dear hivers! I went to my grandma's house for her birthday two days prior to arriving. My cousins had planned an outing for just us cousins and friends.

A friend of ours had always wanted to go to this specific resort saying he likes to show it to us because it has an amazing view and so we agreed to go.

As we arrived we thought it was closed since there was not a single person in there. We hesitated to get out of the car and we sent one person to check inside. He went out sad saying its close but then he couldn't keep lying he started laughing saying we all look depressed after hearing that. I mean who wouldn't be when it's so far from the highway and we had to go down the road again to find another good place. Gladly, he was just kidding. We stepped out of the car and paid the entrance fee for Php 100 and we rented a cottage for Php 500.

As we went inside, this is what we saw, a very steep road up, with stairs on its right side.

Facing forward while climbing up, you see on our left side is the first pool.

We went up, heading to our cottage. The cottage was the perfect size for us all and the location was good, the pool is in front and the view is wow, just wow!

I was speechless at first. It felt good to see such a view after being so stressed for the past 2 years, from pandemic to super typhoon.

Looking at these beautiful, turquoise pools with a backdrop of a mountain and a clear blue sky.

I looked around the whole place. I was more amazed.

This is the view from the shower area.

This is the kiddie pool area. There are paintings on the wall, and above them are the cottages. I bet it's really windy up there.

There are floor-mounted fountains in the kiddie pool area. My friend's younger brother would love this.

This is the view if you climb up straight from the entrance.

This is the 4-6 ft. pool that was located in the middle part of the resort.

This is the view from the kiddie pool area, there is a mini bridge in the center of the pool.

After touring the place under a hot, sunny yet windy sky, we felt hungry and decided to eat first before dipping into the pool.

I went to the grilling area and was surprised to see them grilling the pork they said they're the master chefs.

We then started eating, I don't know why but I ate almost like two rounds of plate I am not that hungry tho but eating with friends and this picturesque view made me want to eat more.

There's this dog that we found cute because he patiently waited for us to feed him, not like the others that kept on barking.

Others dipped in the pool after eating, while I went to the kiddie pool with my friend's younger brother to watch him while he swims. He loves swimming.

The boys then followed me there and even posed for a photo, saying they were hot. These kids are funny.

We girls stayed on the left side, where it's only 4 ft high. Wherever you stay, the view is amazing. On the part where we were staying, there's a waterfall feature in the pool. We stayed below it.

If you stay at the back part of the pool, you'll see the view with all the cottages and the slide.

The sky started turning gray. We thought it would rain, but gladly it didn't.

We asked the life guard to take a photo of us. This is our first photo together after being friends for like, since we were kids.

We stayed below the waterfall, and we took almost 10 shots before we got two "okay" shots.

After the picture-taking, they decided to go on the slide. I was scared to look down at first and imagine what it would be like to slide down the pool on that part, which is like 6 ft. Oh no. I don't know how to swim. My cousin insisted I should try and he'd catch me, so I did, and it was fun. I enjoyed it, but once is enough for me. It must be great to know how to swim.

My brother is the opposite of me, he kept coming back up after sliding down. He's really living in the moment.

After playing in the pool for hours, we went back to the cottage to eat and wrap up as it's almost closing time at the resort.

I'd say it was a tiring day, but it was also great to make new fun memories with them.
