Batam City is the largest city in the Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. The Batam City area consists of Batam Island, Rempang Island and Galang Island and other small islands in the Singapore Strait and Malacca Strait. Batam, Rempang, and Galang islands are connected to the Barelang Bridge. Batam City is also known as the Industrial City.

Batam is not only famous for its big industry, but also as a shopping paradise, not only local residents or domestic tourists, Singaporeans shop a lot here. with quality goods at very low prices. ranging from electronics, bags with original brands, perfumes and many more items that can be searched. The famous shopping places in Batam are Nagoya Hill, Mega Mall, Batam City square. However, if you want to find used goods with good quality, you can look for them at the AVIARI market on JL. Batu aji or you can look for it at the Match Market which is located at Jalan Lubuk Baja, close to Nagoya Hill and behind the Ramayana Complex.

Because the location of Batam city is adjacent to Singapore, the habits and lifestyle of the people are also slightly influenced by the State of Singapore, such as order when driving, and throwing garbage, as well as the style of Hedonism because of the many nightclubs that line up, especially in the area of Jalan Baturaja or around the matchmaking market.

Although Batam is an industrial area, in this city the streets still look deserted without road congestion as we can find in big cities in Indonesia. Because public transportation in Batam is also very limited and the general transportation conditions are also very unfit for use. So that people here use more conventional taxis and online taxis. So to be able to visit this Batam city, we spend more on transportation that we will use.

In addition to shopping paradise in Batam City, there are also many interesting tourist attractions that are worth visiting. including the following :
