Diwali is a major Hindu religious festival. It is celebrated in the month of Kartik in the Hindu calendar, which falls in October or November in the Gregorian calendar. It is also celebrated by other Indian religions.

It symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance" . On this day, all Hindus organize various events in their homes. However, Jains and Sikhs also observe similar festivals during this time.

Diwali is a public holiday in India, Nepal, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Malaysia, Singapore and Fiji. In Bangladesh, holidays are also given in educational institutions on this day.

Although a day off is given on the occasion of Diwali, many Hindus cannot go home to celebrate this festival. Those who live in the hall try to celebrate this festival by sitting in the hall, and the proof is seen in the pictures above.

One of the aspects of Diwali is keeping lights or lamps on. On the occasion of Diwali, Hindu devotees illuminated the whole hall by lighting candles in Syed Amir Ali Hall of Rajshahi University today. It looked beautiful. Students of other religions have also taken the fascination of this beauty

I'm leaving here today wishing all the Hindus a happy Diwali, hope to see you soon.
