In January 2020 my wife and I (at that time we were engaged) came up with the idea of traveling to a town called "la colonia tova", it is a community that was founded by Germans who were fleeing from the war in their native country. It is located in the state "Aragua" municipality "tovar" being this a small town of those that are known as magical.
En enero de 2020 junto a mi esposa (en ese momento eramos novios) se nos ocurrió la idea de viajar a un pueblo llamado "la colonia tova", se trata de una comunidad que en principio fue fundada por alemanes que venían huyendo de la guerra en su país natal. Esta ubicada en el estado "Aragua" municipio "tovar" siendo esta un pueblito de esos que se conocen como mágicos.
Our journey begins in the state of "carabobo" the route was the following: valencia-maracay, maracay-la victoria and then another bus to "Colonia tovar".
Nuestra travesía comienza en el estado "carabobo" la ruta era la siguiente valencia-maracay, maracay-la victoria y luego otro autobus hacia la "Colonia tovar"
We decided to leave at 6 am heading to the city of "maracay" the capital of aragua state that would be our first stop from Valencia where we left, we waited a few minutes and started towards the first stop where everything started, this tour does not take so long about 45 minutes maximum at about 7: 20 am we would be arriving we got off the bus and walked inside the same passenger terminal to the next stop and take the other bus to get to the city of la victoria (also located in the state of aragua) we waited for all the seats on the bus to be occupied and returned back to the road, we arrived at the terminal of la victoria at about 8:30 am.
Decidimos salir a las 6 de la mañana rumbo a la ciudad de "maracay" la capital del estado aragua que sería nuestra primera parada desde Valencia donde salimos, esperamos unos minutos y arrancamos hacia la primera parada donde todo iniciaba, este recorrido no tarda tanto unos 45 minutos máximo a eso de las 7:20 am estaríamos llegando nos bajamos del autobús y caminamos dentro del mismo terminal de pasajeros hasta el siguiente puesto y tomar el otro autobús para llegar a la ciudad de la victoria ( también ubicada en el estado aragua) esperamos que todos los asientos del bus estuviesen ocupado y regresamos de nuevo a la carretera, llegamos al terminal de la victoria a eso de las 8:30 am.
It was there where we decided to have breakfast while we waited for our next bus, we ate calmly and it was there where we waited for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes for the car that was going to take that route to arrive since there was no bus at the terminal where we were, we waited with some anxiety to get to our destination that we were already very close. It took us another hour to get to our destination, which was Colonia Tovar.
Fue ahí donde decidimos desayunar mientras esperábamos nuestro siguiente autobús, comimos con toda la calma y fue ahí donde esperamos aproximadamente 1 hora y 30 minutos que llegara el automóvil que iba a cumplir esa ruta ya que en el terminal donde nos encontrábamos no había autobús, esperamos con algo de ansias por llegar a nuestro destino que ya estábamos muy cerca. Nos tomo una hora más llegar a nuestro destino como lo era la colonia tovar.
Although Colonia Tovar is a small town it is very beautiful, all a German atmosphere of the old times and is characterized by its crops of strawberries, peaches and wonderful views, we toured the city and landscapes very happy we also tasted the famous strawberries with creams that without a doubt were excellent, fresh. Within the city they offer tours to different areas such as grape crops and wine factories that are definitely worth going and live the experience.
Aunque la colonia tovar es un pueblo pequeño es muy hermoso, todo un ambiente alemán de la época antigua y se caracteriza por sus cultivos de fresas, duraznos y unas vistas maravillosas, recorrimos la ciudad y los paisajes muy contentos también probamos las famosas fresas con cremas que sin dudar estaban excelentes, frescas. Dentro de la ciudad ofrecen tours a diferentes áreas como los cultivos de uvas y las fábricas de vinos que sin duda alguna vale la pena ir y vivir la experiencia.
It is a unique and wonderful experience that I enjoyed very much with my wife and I hope to return soon and stay there and be able to visit more places and opportunities that this beautiful city offers us.
Es una experiencia única y maravillosa que me la disfrute mucho a lado de mi esposa espero poder volver pronto y quedarnos allá y poder recorrer más lugares y oportunidades que nos ofrece esa linda ciudad.
