One of the fish that is very rare is mahser fish, and this time I will share with all of you my experience hunting mahser fish in remote villages in aceh, precisely at the foot of Mount Krueng Suak.
To reach the location of Krueng Suak which is inhabited by the rare mahser fish, it is very difficult, because the location is very far into the corners of the forest, even right at the foot of the mountain, with roads that are still muddy and unpaved.
I along with my friend went on an adventure to see firsthand this rare mahser fish using a two-wheeled vehicle or we call it Honda, and we went in the morning considering the distance we had to travel was very far.
We prepared all the supplies needed when we were there later, and that morning we left with full confidence and heart pounding, will we get a lot of mahser fish when we get there later, because according to the news circulating that there is a lot of krueng suak which is our destination once a mahser fish that inhabits the river there even with a large size up to 3 kg per fish.
We had only traveled for about 30 minutes, we were immediately faced with very challenging road conditions, the road was badly damaged and slippery because it turned out that this place had been raining last night.
The road is very dangerous if the vehicle is forced to run quickly, so we are very careful, don't let an accident happen on the road, even I had time to invite my friend to go home and not continue the journey, but my friend still insisted on continuing the journey, whatever happens must still at the foot of the mountain.
Finally we were able to pass through the slippery and badly damaged road safely without any problems, it turned out that to enjoy something beautiful we had to go through an uphill battle, and after traveling a distance of 10 minutes from the damaged road we found a rather good road being repaired According to my friend, who has passed this road several times, this road is the road for oil palm plantation companies, because in this area there are no more houses for residents, because the road we take is the road leading to the mountain, and this road is only passed by people who have a garden at the foot of the mountain or work in an oil palm company.
We passed oil palm plantations along the way, on the left and right of the road we were greeted by very beautiful scenery, many hills with terraced levels deliberately formed for planting oil palm by large and well-known companies even our journey also passed through rivers whose water was very clear.
Up here Our journey only took 1 hour, and we started to be spoiled by the very beautiful scenery, I am the first time visiting here and this is the first time I saw a beautiful view like this did not waste the opportunity, I took some pictures along the way with our Honda.
After traveling for 2 hours, we finally arrived at our vehicle storage place, that means we can only bring our vehicle here, and a sign that the place we are going is almost there and not too far away.
According to my friend who has been here several times, our vehicle here is very safe because rarely anyone visits here, so we are not worried about losing our vehicle, and according to my friend, to get to the river inhabited by mahser fish, we have to walk for 1 more hour.
Along the way I saw a very beautiful expanse of green weeds and the hills had been leveled and cleaned.
when I look at my watch, the clock shows 10:20, that means our journey has taken more than 3 hours, and finally the place we are going, namely Krueng Suak which is a mahser fish paradise is right in front of my eyes, and I feel very tired. normal, but because I was curious about the existence of mahser fish, I had to be able to endure all the fatigue.
It turns out that the river is right under the foot of Mount Goh as my friends call it, the river water is very cold, cold like water stored in a refrigerator, and this is very different from the river in my village.
My friends immediately prepared tools in the form of fishing nets, rifles for hunting fish, glasses and swimsuits, they all eagerly went down the river to look for mahser fish hiding behind the arranged rocks.
Not just anyone can find and find this mahser fish, mahser fish is very wild, it takes special skills to hunt this fish, I am not very proficient in hunting fish, chose to stay on land as a cook and clean the fish we caught.
It turned out to be true, this river is indeed a paradise for mahser fish, only a few minutes my friends were looking for fish in the river by fishing and diving, many mahser fish have been obtained, and my job as a cook is to prepare food for them.
And because we were all hungry, they also helped me cook rice and fry the mahser fish, I have never eaten this mahser fish before, and am very curious about how it tastes.
We don't need much time to cook rice and fry fish and prepare seasonings, because we all work together and work together, so without feeling our dishes are ready to be enjoyed.
You can imagine how delicious it is to eat food with your beloved friends in the wild accompanied by the sound of river water splashing against the rocks and accompanied by the sound of birds chirping with various beautiful sounds.
I think this is really like being in heaven on earth, and it turns out that this mahser fish is also very delicious, the flesh is very soft and tastes sweet, especially the fish that we fry and cook, love is very fresh.
We ate this mahser fish together while joking around.
When we were eating lunch, suddenly there was a roar and lightning, it was a sign that it was going to rain soon, and according to my friend if it rained heavily then the river water would overflow and we would be stuck there and couldn't go home.
We were unlucky, even though there were a lot of mahser fish that we had not caught for us to take home, but considering the unfavorable weather, we immediately decided to go home and will come back here if the weather situation has entered the dry season.

Even though I was unlucky, I was very satisfied because I could see and feel the mahser fish that I had never seen before, and I promise to come back to this place someday.
