Besides Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek and Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek, another popular and stunning trekking spot in Nepal is Langtang Valley Trek. During the trek, you get to see wide variety of flora and fauna, blooming Rhododendron forests. You can see the lake even at the high altitude. Red Panda, which has been classified as endangered in the world where about 10,000 of them are left is also protected inside this national park. It is taken care of by Nepali Army. Nepal has around 1000 red panda. Other animals found in the national park include: musk deer, snow leopard, Himalayan black bear and so on. If you want to watch red panda, make sure to stay for few days around Ghoda Tabela, a horse grazing land in Langtang. It is situated at an altitude of 2950 meter.

The trek will take about 4 days. You can grab a bus in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. It will take you upto Dhunche, Rasuwa within 9 to 10 hours. Rasuwa has trading point with China at Kerung border. It was opened after one of the main border with China was closed due to the frequent natural calamities at Tatopani. We can also say that Langtang also borders with Tibet of China.

Another important attraction of this trek is that you can see holy Gosaikunda lake. This lake is a sacred lake for Hindu and Buddhist people. I have seen people even at their last breath rode on a helicopter and come to Gosaikunda to pray for the last time. The lake was created by Lord Shiva, who uses his trident into mountain to get water and to get rid of poison he had swallowed. It is situated at an altitude of 4380 meter. Beside, if you can get to taste fresh alpine water, the most natural, cleaner and healthier water. People take bath in this river to relieve their sorrows and pain.

The next important place of attraction is Helambu valley. Helambu trek also lies within the Langtang valley trek and is a moderate trek for normal people. There's no chances of getting sick from altitude sickness. You get to see more than 4 major mountains of Nepal. While going to Langtang valley, you get to see Villages and settlements of Tibetan Sherpa, Buddhist monasteries, stupas that have remained there since ancient times.

The highest point of the trek that one can reach is 4984 meter. Best month to do the trek is from September to December. There is storm, heavy snow in this area in January and February. As a whole, this trek gives you a feeling that you are completely in other part of the world surrounded by hospitable people and natural beauty.

I don't know if this dog is doing yoga, meditation or just stretching his legšŸ¤£. Whatever he is doing, he is doing it at the best place in the world. If you see at that rocks closely, there is some sort of Tibetan writing in it. Mostly they write Mantras on those rocks. Its their culture in Buddhism.
