Whenever I go for a walk I say the same to all my companions: if they are thinking of going on a trip to rest, they will not be able to do this with me. When I am in a beautiful place, all I want to do is walk and go, I don't care if this implies that at night I end up with my energy in negative values. Fortunately my cousin likes to do the same, so thanks to him we were able to access a lot of wonderful sites within the Sierra de La Ventana area, including the Mirador del Casuhatí ❤️.
Siempre que hago un paseo les digo lo mismo a todos mis acompañantes: si estan pensando en ir de viaje para descansar, esto no lo van a poder hacer conmigo. Cuando estoy en un lugar hermoso todo lo que quiero hacer es recorrer y recorrer, no me importa si esto implica que a la noche termine con mi energía en valores negativos. Afortunadamente a mi primo le gusta hacer lo mismo, por lo que gracias a él pudimos acceder a un montón de sitios maravillosos dentro del área de Sierra de La Ventana, entre ellos, el Mirador del Casuhatí ❤️.
After having spent the morning touring the surroundings of the Sierra de La Ventana train station ", we returned to the house that we rented to go to lunch and to load water in the thermos to drink mate on the trip. ”We were already quite far from home, but we still wanted to continue going further.
Luego de haber pasado la mañana recorriendo los alrededores de la estación de trenes de Sierra de La Ventana", regresamos a la casa que alquilamos para ir a almorzar y a cargar agua en los termos para tomar mate en el viaje. Ya estabamos bastante lejos de casa, pero todavía quedaban ganas de seguir yendo más lejos.

The good thing about all that part of Sierra de La Ventana is that the routes pass through mountainous landscapes. For a moment you forget that you are still in Buenos Aires, since what we who live in the city are used to seeing are buildings and a lot of traffic 😂.
Lo bueno que tiene toda esa parte de Sierra de La Ventana es que las rutas pasan por medio de paisajes montañosos. Por un momento te olvidas que seguís en Buenos Aires, ya que lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver los que vivimos en la ciudad son edificios y mucho tráfico 😂.
Where we are going exactly was to the Mirador del Casahuatí, a hill with a path prepared for tourist purposes. The day was beautiful, so there were quite a few people there.
A donde nos dirigimos exactamente fue al Mirador del Casahuatí, un cerro con un sendero preparado para fines turísticos. El día estaba hermoso, por lo que allí había bastante gente.
In front of the viewpoint we were going to climb is the "Cerro de La Ventana". I'm not sure if you can go there (from its height I would think not), but anyway seeing it from here brought us a great discovery. Pay attention to the top of the hill 😅.
En frente del mirador al que íbamos a escalar se encuentra el "Cerro de La Ventana". No estoy segura de si se puede ir hasta allí (por su altura pensaría que no), pero de todos modos verlo desde allí nos trajo un gran descubrimiento. Presten atención a la parte superior del cerro 😅.
Ok, in case you haven't noticed despite my camera's amazing definition (😂), I've zoomed in here for you guys. At the top of the hill there is a hole through which you can see through. It is because of that "window (ventana)" that the whole area is called Sierra de La Ventana. How ingenious, right? 😅.
Ok, en caso de que no lo hayan notado a pesar de la increíble definición de mi cámara (😂), aquí he hecho un acercamiento para ustedes. En la cima del cerro hay un agujero por el cual se puede ver a través. Debido a esa "ventana" es que toda esa zona se llama Sierra de La Ventana. Que ingenioso, ¿no? 😅.
Returning to the viewpoint, this path looked "easy since many people went up and down it, even children, so we said" well, we already came here, we have to go up. "
Volviendo al mirador, este sendero se veía "fácil ya que mucha gente lo subía y bajaba, incluso niños, por lo que dijimos "bueno, ya vinimos hasta aquí, hay que subir".
Before going up, I asked my aunt to take a picture of me. There was so much sun that the screen of our phones was almost impossible to see, so this photo was the result. Nice try anyway 😅. Although the sun was radiant, it was still a bit cold (it was August, the winter had not yet gone). I did not consider that a walk was going to make me warm, something obvious now that I think about it, so I went up with all my coat. Big mistake 🤣.
Antes de subir le pedí a mi tía que me tome una fotografía. Había tanto sol que la pantalla de nuestros teléfonos era casi imposible de ver, por lo que esta foto fue el resultado. Buen intento de todos modos 😅. A pesar de que el sol estaba radiante, igual hacía algo de frío (era Agosto, aún el invierno no se había ido). No consideré que una caminata me iba a dar calor, algo obvio ahora que lo pienso, por lo que subí con todo mi abrigo. Gran error 🤣.
At first the path was quite simple: flat and without any steep climb. We just came from a 25-minute ride sitting down, so we weren't tired at all. At this point it still wasn't that hot 😅.
Al principio el camino era bastante sencillo: plano y sin ninguna subida abrupta. Recién veníamos de un viaje de 25 minutos sentados, por lo que no estábamos para nada cansados. En este punto todavía no tenía tanto calor 😅.

BUT as we obviously climbed the slope of the hill was increasing more and more.
PERO a medida que subíamos obviamente la inclinación del cerro iba aumentando más y más.
The road had more and more stones. Luckily I had some slippers that did not slip so much, but I would have preferred to have some kind of special footwear for that. Anyway, the views we were getting as we ascended were totally worth it 😅.
El camino cada vez tenía más piedras. Por suerte yo tenía unas zapatillas que no me resbalaban tanto, pero hubiese preferido tener alguna especie de calzado especial para eso. De todos modos, las vistas que íbamos teniendo a medida que ascendíamos valían completamente la pena 😅.
And when it seemed that the legs were no longer going to respond to us, we managed to get there. At this time I already had all my coats in hand, even I regretted not having put on a shirt with short sleeves. There I noticed the importance of being in good physical condition 😂.
Y cuando parecía que las piernas ya no nos íban a responder más, logramos llegar. En este momento yo ya llevaba todos mis abrigos en la mano, incuso lamenté no haberme puesto una remera con mangas cortas. Allí noté la importancia de estar en buen estado físico 😂.
The view from there was very good: you could see the tiny cars. When we went up we did not realize that we were so high, even from the base it did not seem like such a high hill but it was ❤️.
La vista desde allí era muy buena: se veían los autos pequeñitos. Cuando subímos no nos dimos cuenta de que estábamos tan alto, incluso desde la base tampoco parecía un cerro tan alto pero sí que lo era ❤️.
And here are some photos of me after the ten minutes it took me to get my air back after going up there. As that is not seen in the photo, I will still tell them so that they know that behind a smile there may have been a little suffering before 😂.
Y aquí unas fotos mías después de los diez minutos que me tomó recuperar el aire después de subir hasta allí. Como eso no se ve en la foto igual se los cuento para que sepan que detrás de una sonrisa pudo haber un poco de sufrimiento antes 😂.

We will have been up there for a total of half an hour. The sun was really strong, it was around 3 PM. Of course going down was much easier than going up, but we still had to be careful with those dangerous stones. Even though we got pretty tired, we still had the energy to keep clowning around 😂.
Habremos estado allí arriba en total media hora. El sol estaba realmente fuerte, eran alrededor de las 3 PM. Por supuesto que bajar fue mucho más fácil que subir, pero de todos modos tuvimos que tener cuidado con esas peligrosas piedras. A pesar de que nos cansamos bastante, aún nos quedaba energía para seguir payaseando 😂.

After this we continue walking through another nearby park, where we spent the whole afternoon drinking mates and eating, of course. That day I did sleep soundly but happy to have been in that beautiful place. As always, grateful to the universe and the opportunities it gave me so that I could get to know the place I wanted and much more. I was really lucky ❤️.
Después de esto seguimos paseando por otro parque cercano, donde pasamos toda la tarde tomando mates y comiendo, por supuesto. Ese día sí que dormí profundo pero feliz de haber estado en ese lugar hermoso. Como siempre, agradecida con el universo y las oportunidades que me dió para que pudiera estar conociendo el lugar que quería y mucho más. Fui realmente afortunada ❤️.
