Yesterday, I went to the famous falls in Badian, Cebu. It is known as Kawasan Falls. This famous attraction is under the jurisdiction of Municipality of Badian in the southern part of Cebu and this is a government-run recreation and adventure park.
Let me show you the beauty and the activities you could enjoy in Kawasan Falls Recreation and Adventure Park. There are 3 falls in Kawasan but the most enticing among the 3 is the Third Falls/Kabukalan Spring (located in the highest level of Kawasan) where you could enjoy many activities. Some roads going to the falls are no paved yet so expect that there are muddy and slippery roads.
Due to the accidents happened in the area, the government had taken precautionary measure to prevent it from happening again. Guests could not anymore go to the falls without a guide. The reason why the municipality had released a new tour package and fees because it already includes a guide fee. Below information is based on the tarpaulin they posted in the entrance area where the briefing was conducted.

There was a briefing conducted upon entry. The in-charge explained to us about the new package and fees. It took only 3 minutes. After the briefing, we proceeded to the area where we can wash our hands since washing of hands with soap and water was strictly implemented.
Since we would like to reach to the highest level of Kawasan, we had chosen the Package B. We paid Php350.00 each.
While going to the first falls, we had already seen the current of the water beside the road.
In this area, it has paved road and the road is not that steep so therefore, we could not feel shortness of breath yet.
There was a food stalls going to the first falls but most of them have not opened yet due to pandemic. The park will only accept 100 guests per day to maintain social distancing in the area.
We had crossed many bridges and this bridge is nice and the foundation is strong compared to other bridges.
In this area, there has no paved road. Our feet got dirty and wet. You should be careful because it is slippery.
Before we could get to the first falls, we passed in this stunning view. There were also people bathing in this area. Have you seen them?
It made our heart jump as we had already seen the first falls. The water in this area was calm and still.
Finally, we had reached the first falls but we didn't bath yet since we had decided to bath in the third falls. We just took photos of it.
Here's my companions. I just met them as I arrived in Badian. We immediately became friends.
After taking photos we headed to the second falls. We started to get tired because of the steep stairs.
Some of my companions complained because their feet already got hurt. Though I felt the same but I had enjoyed taking photos and sight seeing.
Look at the strong current of the water.
This is the second falls. Again we just took photos of it and after we continued our journey.
We had crossed in this bridge. It is made up of bamboo. Just hold tightly when you cross there because you might get fall but it's okey though because it is not deep in that area.
So we had passed again to another set of steep stairs. We already got tired and our energy went low.
Have you seen them? Look how they took steps.
So we had crossed again another bamboo bridge.
This area was so slippery so we slowly walk to avoid accident.
Oh, have you seen the dam? As the guide told us that we were almost there, were so happy and excited. Excited to swim and do some adventures.
Covered with green foliage. It's so relaxing.
And finally we're here! My happy feet was already reached to the highest level of Kawasan. I did it!
We had enjoyed the cold water.
We had tried the waterfalls slide. My first experienced was not that good since I was not able to pinch my nose. It got hurt after the water entered my nose.
But on the second try, it was already ok. I already learned from my mistake (lol).
This photo was after we had tried the waterfalls slide.
I didn't try it since I was afraid (haha) but I admired the teenage boy who had enjoyed jumping.
Look at him.
Would you also jump same as he did if you'll visit here?
My other companion tried it.
I had tried it. At first I was reluctant but I faced my fear.
The day was full of laughter and adventures. I was so thankful that I was able to met these amazing people. My Kawasan trip was became memorable and enjoyable because of their presence.
A million thanks to @justinparke for teaching me how to create a GIF.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
