I used to live near the Royal Łazienki Park and I was here very often, at different times of the day. Now I live close to the forest, but thanks to great public transport in Warsaw, I can get to the Royal Łazienki Park relatively quickly. This is one of the most famous parks in Warsaw, which ranks among my favorites. I will show you some of its charming spots in the coming days. I'll start with the Old Orangery.
Kiedyś mieszkałam w pobliżu Łazienek Królewskich i bywałam tu bardzo często, o różnych porach dnia. Za to teraz mieszkam blisko lasu, ale dzięki świetnej komunikacji miejskiej w Warszawie mogę w miarę szybko podjechać do Łazienek. To jeden z najbardziej znanych parków w Warszawie, który plasuje się w czołówce moich ulubionych. Pokażę wam w najbliższych dniach kilka jego uroczych zakątków. Zacznę od Starej Oranżerii.
It is a classicist orangery in the Royal Łazienki Park in Warsaw, erected in the years 1786–1788 according to the design of Dominik Merlini. The Old Orangery was built to store the orange trees that decorated the gardens in summer. In 2015, in front of the Old Orangery, in the place of the grassy parts of the historical rebate and alleys, the Dutch Garden was created, designed by the Dutch landscape architect Niek Roozen.

Jest to klasycystyczna pomarańczarnia w Łazienkach Królewskich w Warszawie, wzniesiona w latach 1786–1788 według projektu Dominika Merliniego. Starą Pomarańczarnię zbudowano jako miejsce do przechowywania drzew pomarańczowych, które latem zdobiły ogrody. W 2015 przed Starą Oranżerią w miejscu trawiastych części historycznego założenia rabat i alejek powstał Ogród Holenderski zaprojektowany przez holenderskiego architekta krajobrazu Nieka Roozena.

At the entrance to the Orangery, I was greeted by huge sculptures of lions. On the other hand, in the garden, you can feel like you are in some relaxing place. You can see people who came here with small children, a couple of people hugging each other sitting on a bench, as well as many tourists who took souvenir photos here.
Przy wejściu do Oranżerii powitały mnie ogromne rzeźby lwów. Za to na terenie ogrodu można się poczuć, jak w jakimś relaksującym miejscu. Widać ludzi, którzy przyszli tu z małymi dziećmi, siedzącą na ławeczce parę przytulonych do siebie ludzi, a także wielu turystów, którzy robili tu pamiątkowe zdjęcia.
I liked the ancient statues of naked young men. One of them had a wreath of laurel leaves and grapes on his head, and the other posed with a dog in his arms.
Podobały mi się antyczne posągi przedstawiające nagich młodzieńców. Jeden z nich miał na głowie wianek z liści laurowych i winogron, a drugi pozował z psem, którego trzymał w ramionach.
This sculpture with two heads and numerous ornaments stands in the corner of the garden. Looks amazing.
Ta rzeźba z dwoma głowami i licznymi zdobieniami stoi w rogu ogrodu. Wygląda niesamowicie.
It is a pity that due to the pandemic it is not possible to enter this building. There is a royal theater and a gallery of ancient sculptures.
Royal Sculpture Gallery with a collection of marble statues and plaster copies of the most important ancient (from 5th century BC to 3rd century AD) and modern works. There is also a Polish Sculpture Gallery with the works of almost all the most outstanding Polish artists from the beginning of the 19th century to the mid-20th century.

Szkoda, że ze względu na pandemię nie można wejść do środka tego budynku. Znajduje się tam teatr królewski oraz
Królewska Galeria Rzeźby z kolekcją marmurowych posągów i gipsowych kopii najważniejszych dzieł starożytnych (od V w. p.n.e. do III w. n.e.) oraz nowożytnych. Jest tu też Galeria Rzeźby Polskiej z pracami niemal wszystkich najwybitniejszych polskich artystów, tworzących od początku XIX w. do połowy XX w.

Interesting fact
In the building of the Old Orangery, there is "Artist's Work", an educational zone dedicated to sculpture. In the workshop and molding room, children and adults can feel like sculptors from the times of King Stanisław August, making plaster casts and learning about the 18th-century technology of making copies of sculptures. The educational zone is also adapted for people with disabilities.

Ciekawostka
W budynku Starej Oranżerii znajduje się "Pracowania artysty", czyli strefa edukacyjna dedykowana rzeźbie. W sali warsztatowej i formierni dzieci oraz dorośli mogą się poczuć jak rzeźbiarze z czasów króla Stanisława Augusta, robiąc odlewy gipsowe i poznając XVIII-wieczną technologię wykonywania kopii rzeźb. Strefa edukacyjna jest także dostosowana dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami.

Mam nadzieję, że uda mi się niedługo wziąc udział w takich zajęciach, bardzo jestem ich ciekawa, chętnie stworzyłabym swoją własną rzeźbę, wzorowaną na tych antycznych.
The magnolia blooming season is now on, there are light pink magnolias and dark pink ones growing in the garden. Many people (including me) admired them while exploring the garden. The tree branches were at different levels of flowering, some were just sprouting their buds, others were in the process of developing their flowers, and some were fully grown.
Właśnie trwa sezon kwitnienia magnolii, w ogrodzie rosną jasnoróżowe magnolie i ciemnoróżowe. Wiele osób (w tym ja) podziwiało je podczas zwiedzania ogrodu. Dzrewka były na różnym poziomie kwitnienia, niektóre dopiero wypuszczały pąki, inne były w trakcie rozwijania się kwiatów, a jeszcze inne miały je w pełni rozwinięte.
In addition to communing with nature, you can feel in the Orangery garden like in a museum. In the middle of the garden, there are busts of, among others Pompey, or the Roman emperor Titus Flavius Vespasianus.
Oprócz obcowania z przyrodą można się poczuć w ogrodzie Oranżerii jak w muzeum. Na środku ogrodu znajdują się popiersia m.in. Pompejusza,czy cesarza rzymskiego Tytusa Flawiusza.
When I was leaving the garden, a couple was taking a professional photo session there. Fortunately, my bike, despite the fact that I had not clipped it anywhere, was waiting for me and I set off leading it (because you cannot ride a bike in the Royal Łazienki Park), to see another part of the garden.
Gdy wychodziłam z ogrodu, jakaś para robiła sobie w tym miejscu profesjonalną sesję zdjęciową. Na szczęście mój rower, mimo, że go nigdzie nie przypinałam czekał na mnie i wyruszyłam prowadząc go (bo w Łazienkach Królewskich nie można jeździć na rowerze), zobaczyć inną część ogrodu.
