There are places in our planet that attract by the wild and rustic, and from there its peculiarity. This is the case of Hacienda Agroturística Aguasana, a place in Paria, in the state of Sucre, Venezuela. Its main attraction is its hot springs.
But before talking about the place let's review a little bit that they are thermal waters.
Thermal waters | Aguas termales
We can say, following what has been exposed in this link, that thermal waters are called "those mineral waters that come out of the ground with more than 5 °C above the surface temperature", and that these "come from subway layers of the Earth that are found at a higher temperature, which are rich in different mineral components and allow their therapeutic use (hydrotherapy)".
It is specified that generally "they are found along fault lines", fractures in the Earth's crust, associated with the boundaries between the Earth's tectonic plates (see). Through this fault "groundwater can be introduced which is heated up when it reaches a certain depth and then rises in the form of steam or hot water".
The use of thermal waters dates back to 2,000 years before Christ in different places, such as India, Greece and Rome, where they had a ritual and sanitary function.
It is known that in Venezuela the first studies on the thermal waters were carried out by the German naturalist and explorer Alejandro de Humboldt, who dealt with the existing ones in the states of Carabobo and Sucre. The thermal sources in our country are distributed forming strips, parallel to the main areas of geological faults, as reported in this study
For many years the thermal waters in Venezuela have been given a mainly recreational use, associated with the therapeutic one. So there are several thermal water spas; among the most famous are Las Trincheras (Carabobo State) and El Jaguey (Merida State).
Our post will present you one of the spaces in the state of Sucre, where there are several places of thermal waters.

Located in the Libertador Municipality of Sucre State (northeast of Venezuela), 5 kms. away from a singular town called Tunapuy, in that wide territory identified by the aborigines as Paria, is the AGROTURISTIC WATER HOME.
As its name indicates, it is a rural space (farm), although it can be accessed by a road (called Troncal 09) that leads to the eastern end of Sucre, to the city of Guiria.
It is a retired space, of extensive land, whose owners turned it into a place of recreation and lodging. As it is out of the direct influence of urban life, because of its landscapes and the sense of family or small groups that it has been given, it is ideal to get away from stress and spend a time of pleasant recollection.
The fundamental attraction is its thermal waters, some 17 wells spread over two hectares, which we will go on to see in my photographs.
As can be seen in the second poster, there are a variety of thermal water wells, which are distributed according to the degree of heat and its components, determined by expert analysis.
Some are covered by huts ("churuatas"), others in the open air, and, as we said, with different degrees of heat. As illustrated in the following photos.
Here is a photo where I am in one of those wells and the one of a visitor who puts clay on her body, as it is a characteristic of one or two wells.
According to the information, the thermal waters of the state of Sucre are related to the geological fault of El Pilar; hence the relationship with the volcanic.
The extensive territory of Aguasana has natural landscapes conducive to peace and vision that can expand our spirit. Thanks to the beautiful visitor who allowed us to take those landscapes.

Attractive gardens with beautiful specimens of our tropical flora.
As we said, it is a space of recreation and recollection made with a sense of craftsmanship, rustic, simple that gives quality to their different spaces, whether the living room, dining room, kitchen (because each group can make their own meals) or the swimming. Some pictures of these spaces.
I have no doubt that Aguasana is one of the places in the State of Sucre and Venezuela that offers us a very gratifying experience, both physically and spiritually. And I wanted to share it with you. Thank you for your attention.
