The attractive place you must visit when come to Buon Me Thuot

Because there are so many famous places to visit in Buon Ma Thuot, I will introduce you to the two most famous places here in this section.

1. Sac Tu Khai Doan Pogada

Buon Ma Thuot is a catholic stronghold, and Sac Tu Khai Doan is one of the city's few Buddhist pagodas.

Located on Phan Boi Chau Street, Buon Ma Thuot City, Khai Doan pagoda was built in 1951. It is Vietnam's final pagoda, bestowed by royal decree of the feudal regime. Khai Doan is joined by the names of King Khai Dinh and his wife, Queen Mother Doan Huy.

The temple architecture is stunning because of the use of wood. Around the corridor outside the palace, the image of the Buddha meditating is carved into each box, interwoven with the Arhats of the Buddhadharma.

The ancient Sac Tu Khai Doan pagoda was built in a style that combines the Hue royal style with the stilt house style of the Central Highlands people, as well as modern architecture. The new temple was restored in 2012 and completed in November 2016 after many years of change. Many people, including tourists, have visited the pagoda since then.

It is a tourist attraction not to be missed in Buon Ma Thuot city.

2. Dray Nur Waterfall

The Dray Nur waterfall in Kuop village, located 25 kilometers south of Buon Ma Thuot city, is the largest and most beautiful of the Serepok River's three waterfalls. Dray Nur waterfall is a sacred waterfall associated with numerous miracle stories in the culture of the ethnic minorities who live here.

Dray Nur waterfall has a width of 250m, a height of 30m with the name meaning a woman or a wife. Visiting Dray Nur, you will have the opportunity to admire the magical beauty of the powerful water as well as immerse yourself in the cool water at one of the three lakes created by three waterfalls.

The first lake is a favorite place for many tourists because of its safe and shallow water level; The second lake, although wider, has many sharp reefs, while the third lake has a depth of 8-10m, quite dangerous for those who do not know how to swim proficiently. Walking along the lakes, visitors will come to a cave nearly 3000m2 wide with perennial sedimentary blocks forming many interesting shapes.
