Hi there! Today is a holiday and a perfect time to relax from work, inhale and exhale, and the best time to have a date with family. This time we had our lunch at Café by the Sea at Muabog, Tabogon.
I am naturally born in Tabogon yet didn't even venture to some places due to some reasons. Now, with my family, I can explore and see some hidden beauty within my birthplace.
Café by the Sea is one of the gems in Tabogon where you'll be able to see the calmness of the ocean and the silhouette of the opposite side place which is Leyte.
According to the crew who served the food, this is a family owned business and all of the dishes they served is lutong-bahay or homemade recipes.
This art form caught my attention which we first encountered as we entered the cafe, it forms like a backbone (I guess?).
As we head forward, few steps to take the stairs. Feels like a home with built-in cookery😉. The vines are climbing already to the facade of the house. It seems cute and stylish, so it's better that way.
As we finally get to the order section, we are perplexed and puzzled about what to order since we are new to their menu and there are a lot of beverages to choose from. Moments later, finally got our order and can't wait to taste it.
While waiting for our orders, took our time to explore around the place.
The serene and calming sounds of waves are calling us. We can see over here the sky meets the ocean. My eyes keep looking at what nature has given me. Ahhh, this is so wonderful! I get speechless and my heart pounds like a ball that I can't even stop from jumping.
Capturing this protruding foundation wall of stones. It's perfectly piled rocks where beneath is waving saltwater.
Amazed and excited to swim however, we don't even have extras. Well, dipping our feet would be good enough. The clear water is really inviting, isn't it?
Saltwater creates foamy as it bounced back from the giant rock.
My daughter keeps running on the ground, I guess she's surveying the lawn if it's bigger than she thought😁. Well, I can say that it's spacious and a perfect space to let your kids satisfy with running, hehe.
A lot of landscapes and plants inside this cafe leave me in awe. Blue (ocean) and green (plants) are the best colors to reduce stress in life.
As soon as I keep nearing my daughter, we found a white paint terrace like a barrier and I'm curious to see what was in there.
Whoa! Another step to take that brought me to another paradise!
Took the steps, and ended up in this small cave with a hole in it. I can see the sea here, waving at me. Oh no!
Another foundation of rock. So gorgeous!
Can you see that!? A paradise on earth! I think I don't want to go home. I might stay here, hehe.
After some time roaming around, it's now time to eat since it's all ready. We transferred to the uppermost area where we can feel cold air. Our first pick table is where the sun shines brightly and we can feel the humidity of the air. Hence, we opted for the upper one.
We ordered:
Breaded Porkchop 180 pesos
Chili Garlic Pork Ribs 160 pesos
Bacon Carbonara 150 pesos
A pitcher of Lemon Cucumber 120
Their food is so tasty and I recommend it you must try. A pitcher of lemon cucumber quenched our thirst and I can still manage to chew bits of cucumber in it.
If you haven't visited this cafe, you better book now and join this in your travel lists. You will never regret coming here.
From Cebu City's north bus terminal, ride a bus that goes to Tabogon.
The bus is via Ilihan, so it's a bus stop is the boundary of Muabog and near the barangay.
Ride a motorcycle where the rider can take you to Café by the Sea.
Approximately 2 kilometers away from the bus stop or better turn on your Waze or Google Maps, just in case.
Thank God that we are safe and sound as we reached home and hope you are too. God bless and have a happy weekend ahead. Believe in yourself. Hugs and kisses.
