Spending the day somewhere outside your city usually fills you with energy and makes you feel refreshed. That's the way I felt when I went on a trip to the south of Serbia a few weeks ago.
We arrived in the town of Vranje in the afternoon when the sun had already started to set. We climbed to the viewpoint from which you can see the whole town in the palm of your hand.
My children were happy that they could be above all the roofs of the houses and so high.
We enjoyed the sunset, surrounded by a pine forest.
The hill we were on and from which you can see the panorama of the whole town is called Przar. We walked around, it was quite peaceful.
There is also a hotel of the same name where weddings are often held. The peace and quiet was interrupted by the rehearsal of a band rehearsing for their concert.
We came across an interesting little wooden house. Although so small, when we peeked inside we saw that it had everything needed for life, a kitchen, a bed, a wardrobe...
Near this hill are the remains of a medieval fortress called Markovo Kale.
The road to the foothills is winding but passable.
But you can't climb that fortress, at least from the side we were on. We could barely see it from below.
Then we went from the hill into the town. It was quite empty but somehow pleasant.
My children found the mosaic map of the whole town interesting.
It soon got dark so it was illuminated. There were other children there too.
And then we passed by an Avatar-style cafe. 😊
Unfortunately it was closed so we couldn't see what it was like inside and I was so interested to see. We left that for next time.
After Vranje, we headed to the thermal spa called Soko Therme and spent some time there, bathing in the warm water.
Soko Therme is a spa town that is worth visiting for a walk, not only for bathing, so we will definitely return there again.
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings!
