I and my wife used to travel way before the pandemic, and one of our travel together was when we went to Bohol last summer of 2018. We booked a package tour through an online travel agency. We have chosen to travel to Bohol since none of us hasn't been there yet and we both really wanted to see the very well-known Chocolate Hills.

Our Bohol trip was actually a three days tour, but for this content, I will be sharing our first day. As we arrived at the port of Bohol our tour guide is waiting already for us, we had small talks we introduced ourselves basically.

After a few conversations, our tour guide and driver at the same time tells us about our first-day itinerary, and for the first day, we are going to visit four tourist attraction sites.

Our first stop was in the town of Carmen where the well-known geological formation is located, the Chocolate Hills of Bohol. As the tour guide told us that there are more or less 1,776 hills all over the area and covered with green grass and usually turns brown during summer. Which is what we've seen at that time.

As you can see the hills at our back they are almost color in brown. And the hill where we are standing is the highest of all, the reason we can still visibly see the hills even on the farthest.

The next tourist site we visited was in Bilar Bohol, their awesome Butterfly Garden. It is actually a butterfly sanctuary and was developed as a must-visit for every tourist like us.

As we went further into the sanctuary, there are some butterflies being preserved with a variety of colors and placed in the glass, where tourists can have photos that will look like having butterfly wings on them. Like what my wife and I did in these photos.

We were even asked by the tour guide to jump, so as to look like we are flying in the photos.

The third stop we were into was in Agape, Loay for their small yet Exotic Animal Park. In fact, they have this well-preserved body of phyton upon entering the animal park. The preserved phyton is one of the largest they have had so far. For sure, the preserved phyton was the star in the Exotic Animal Park when it was still alive.

And of course, they had alive ones that you can actually touch, and we both dared to touch them.

Some phyton was freely roamed within the park. Like this photo below and we even touched it as well.

And the last stop we had on the first day was in Tagbilaran City. Visiting the historical site wherein the first treaty of friendship happens between two different races, culture and religion. The treaty was sealed through a blood compact from Miguel Lopez de Legazpi of Spain and to the local chieftain of the village Raja Sikatuna in the year 1565.

As you can see the sculpture behind our back was made from bronze by world-renowned National Artist the late Napoleon V. Abueva. It was said that both Legazpi and Sikatuna draw blood from their arms and mixed it with wine and evenly drank it from the cup.

As you noticed in the sculpture, both characters were tossing the cup, which is the reenactment of the actual happenings of the year 1565.
