A Look Back Of Bohol Bee Farm In Dauis, Bohol

Way before the pandemic I and my wife used to travel outside Cebu. We both agreed that once a year we should try to travel to unwind from our stressful work and we tend to set our travel during our wedding anniversary at the same time. Last 2018 we decided to visit the neighboring island of Bohol in line with our second wedding anniversary.

Our first itinerary was in the Dauis, Bohol, visiting the well-known Bohol Bee Farm. It is a privately owned place with a gift shop which is perfect for tourists to buy some souvenirs.

Bohol Bee Farm has a huge gift shop selling a variety of souvenirs, and one of their unique souvenirs are those made to order like coin purses that are made from native material which you can request your name being stitch on it.

Aside from their gift shop they also have these cozy native bar that you can order snacks and enjoy the ambiance of the place.

Of course, true to its name they had an actual bee farm in their vicinity that you can interact with the help of their staff. Like what I did in these photos, the staff allowed me to hold the beehive, with the proper way of handling it so as not to disturb the bees. The staff told us that the honey that they harvest from the bees were used as sweetening to the food and refreshing drinks they serve to their guests.

As you can see below photo tourists are lining up to buy their organic ice cream made from a variety of fruits that they get from their garden and of course, they use honey as their sweeteners which is likely the reason why they call it organic ice cream.

I'm hopeful that this pandemic that we are experiencing will end soon so that everyone can travel without anything to worry about. That's it for this content. Stay safe everyone.
