Soon to be the first 24-hour walking Street in Danang.

24-hour walking streets are popping up in cities around the world
These streets allow people to walk, shop, dine, and socialize at all hours of the day and night.

What is a 24-hour walking street?

This is a street where people can walk, shop, dine, and socialize at all hours of the day and night. Some of these streets are just a few blocks long and use a pedestrian-friendly design, while others are entire districts in a city.

In the central coastline city of Danang Vietnam they just finished the laying the stones for the first 24 Hour Walking street. There still debating the policies and have not made official yet, but a street has been designated as the first 24 Hour St. for the city.

It is located in the tourist district of "An Thượng", and is conveniently located next to one of the nicest beaches in the country. Today want to walk, the HIVE superstar @Kooza and myself walked the street and took some photos.

@Kooza and I about to start down the street

We entered the street from the southern end next to TONY Mart or Naruto Ramen, located here : https://goo.gl/maps/naL3cAEzxFhdkgF8A

The first impressions is a nice beautifully brick laden Street with colorful lampposts.

@kooza was excited as I was to take the walk down this beautiful Street.

It's true that a lot of the buildings seemed empty, but you can get the vibe that went towards it does come back this street will be a happening place.

These two bamboo buildings, one a hostel and one a bar had some fun nightlife a few weeks ago, when they get buildup and tourism comes back you'll most deafly be in a hot rock in place here.

@kooza and I did find the little insignia in the center of the bricks nice. This is a photo of Sun Tra Peninsula in psychedelic colors and kind of looking like it grumpy frog.

These were down the street every couple of yards.

Bros Kafe is another stop along the block and a restaurant that I quite like to frequent, they have a great smashed avocado sandwich and for the Digital Nomad, the second floor has a nice place to work.

There are some empty lots as well that need to be developed, and now with them being overgrown I think it takes a little bit away from the excitement of the walking Street. I still dont understand why people just throw their trash in empty lots like this, they would be great places for a couple of chairs and a table.

There also a lot of really cool modern looking buildings such as this, and yes it is a hotel, and Iraq filers a bunch of laughing-side as where that flamingo is, it is a pool.

There are a bunch of other really cool looking bars and coffee places that I will admit I have not explored yet, mostly being that I am a vegetarian and places I go are select. But still, they look nice.

Towards the north end of the street there also building what looks like a small community garden or outdoor area, I hope they embrace a lot of nature along the street not just jampacked in bars and restaurants.

I did come to this area once before the lockdowns happened and it was a bustling little night market of stalls. However with the lockdowns many of these small business closed and now the market remains dark. I am curious to see what happens after tourism comes back with this area.

The north end of the street ends next to "서민구이 다낭점 (seomin bbq)" Located here : https://goo.gl/maps/9XJqpEGb6panfsG76 .

This is deafly a lot more lit up and more developed than the previous southern side of the street.

Here's a view looking down the street in the northern end. While there are still cars on this as the street has not been officially named 24 hour yet, you can really get a sense of how it will look when it's filled with tourists and people walking and shopping. I do hope they hang some lights across the street as well to really lock in that Vietnamese Street feel.
