My name is Vu, I have lived in Da Nang city, Viet Nam for 3 years. There are many beautiful places in Da Nang, but the most impressive place in my opinion is Deo Hai Van.
Deo Hai Van is a mountain pass on the Bach Ma ( White horse) mountain chain. This mountain chain separates Da Nang city from Thua Thien Hue province which had Hue city - the ancient capital of Viet Nam. Hai Van pass which means "ocean cloud pass" is approximately 20 km long and 500 meters high from sea level mountain pass on National Route 1A in Vietnam. This was a very important way for people or goods can travel North to South or back. However, after 2005, when they built a tunnel under the Bach Ma mountain, these Hai Van passes have become more of a "drive and enjoy gorgeous views" experience.
When driving up here, you should be cautious because the route has numerous sharp turns and the weather can be harsh at times. Because of the dense fog, the road is rather slick, and you won't be able to see clearly.
Otherwise, if the weather is good, you gonna have many beautiful shots of Hai Van pass.
