" THE KOTA BEACH "
There is always a place where you will never get tired of going back. Especially when this place makes an unforgeable memory on you. And, to tell you this Kota Beach of Bantayan Island Cebu, Philippines is one of the paradises that I will never get tired of coming back to. Why?, come join me for my second time in this paradise to know the reason why.
My First visit to Kota Beach was on June 11, 2021. It is Two years ago already, together with my colleagues from my previous work. If you want to check out my first visit, you can hoop in on this blog Exploring Kota Beach at Bantayan Island, Cebu Philippines | #LakwatsaniIntoy Diary 024. I had fun in this place but unfortunately that time the weather is not good and during my first visit our time is just limited and missed out on one thing that I look forward to the place the Sunset.
That's why I tell myself I will be back here during good weather and witness this phenomenal beauty of Sunset in Kota Beach. And Today, I will share it with you.
K O T A B E A C H
For everyone who didn't know about this undeniable beauty of nature. This beach is located in the Municipality of Sta.Fe Bantayan Island Cebu, Philippines. This Municipality is the center of tourism on the Island. And Kota Beach is one of the tourist spots you should never miss out on visiting when on Bantayan Island.
From fine white sand, turquoise sea water, a wide sand bar, and perfect sunset in the dusk. This spot on the Island is one of the best Tropical Vibe destinations you will dream of. I'm one of those dreamers who always look forward to seeing its beauty.
My last visit to this place actually was a year ago, in April 2022. It is a summer season in the Philippines and I'm positive this time I will captivate the ultimate beauty of Kota Beach. The beach is open to the public and it is free for everyone. On the shoreline a lot of beach resorts where you can stay when traveling to Bantayan Island. Theirs also a lot of restaurants offering food and drinks on the beach.
With me is one of my Colleagues Reymark who is a resident of this Island and together with his college classmate. He invites us to come visit his hometown. Since it's a 4 days Holiday in the country, for sure we will maximize our time roaming around.
It was 11:00 am on our 3rd day on the Island when we reach this Beach from the house we live in. I'm very amazed at what Im seeing in front of me. Cause the sun is shining so bright that shows the ultimate beauty of the beach. This is the view I've missed out on before and Im very grateful I finally saw it in front of my eyes.
Though it's so very hot that time. It didn't stop me to explore the whole shoreline to capture its beauty. Theirs a lot of people on this beach. Some are doing beach volleyball, camping, sunbathing, diving, snorkeling, and skimboarding.
A perfect place for a family and friends getaway. Its beauty also is perfect for destressing and relaxing. There is a part of the beach on its northern side that few people visit. This site is one I love cause you can set on the sand while watching the turquoise color of the ocean.
All the parts of the beach are astonishing, especially when dusk comes. As I said, It is one that I look forward to witnessing. I don't know if it is just me, but Golden Time has a special effect on me. It gives me flashbacks of what I've been through in my life. Looking at this very is very satisfying.
How To Reach Kota Beach?
I tell you, It's a long journey but worth it. From Cebu City, You need to travel for 3-4 hours going to Hagnaya Port. You may ride a Bus from the North Bus Terminal which will cost you 6$ only. You can also rent a Private car Or Van but it will cost you more. Then 1 hour from the port of Hagnayan to reach the Sta. Fe Bantayan Island Port . The fare of the Ferry is 7$. Then from the port, you may ride a tricycle or motorcycle going to Kota Beach for 1$ only.
Where to Stay?
We stay for free in the house of my colleague in the Municipality of Bantayan. It was 20 minutes from Kota Beach. You should not worry about where to stay thiers a lot of affordable beach resorts and Homestay along the shoreline of Kota Beach. Some of you may consider are:
- Kota Beach Resort
- Budyong Beach Resort
- Anika Island ResortAnika Island Resort
- YOONEEK BEACH RESORT
- Beach Placid Resort
You may visit the above Facebook pages of every resort to check more details about the place, the cost of rent, and the view of the resort.
Budget
For this travel on the Island, my 100$ is not fully drained we save a lot from our accommodation which is free. Thanks to our generous colleague for letting us stay at their house. If you plan to stay for 2 Days on the Island I think 100$ estimated is enough including the resort, food, and transportation.
That's it guys for this Travel blog, Hoping I give you a lot of information about this place. To tell you It will not be my last in this place and for sure I will be back again.
