Hello pin mapple friends
Today I would like to introduce you to a beautiful path leading to the sanctuary from where you can have a beautiful view of the Valdadige.
If you come on holiday to Italy, you cannot miss a hike in this place, but you must be very careful, because this path is not suitable for all people, in fact it is very demanding and is not recommended
It is practically a path that connects the village of brentino Belluno with the sanctuary of the Madonna della corona, a path that was built during the war to make
You can arrive comfortably by car in this small town in the province of Verona with only 1,200 inhabitants, there are plenty of parking spaces, and recently an equipped camper van area has also been created.
From here practically begins the path, which has an altitude difference of about 500 metre.
In the village there are still some old fountains that were used by the inhabitants to wash their clothes, but here you can get water to refill your water bottles, because if you do this trail in the middle of summer you have to drink often.
The route starts from a large staircase, and as you begin to climb in altitude you will find a large cross on your way from where you can enjoy a beautiful view.
The path has been completely carved into the rock, steps have been created, but you have to be very careful where you put your feet, many people have been hurt in this place.
As we ascend the path, and raise our heads, we can already see our destination, which is the sanctuary, and it is here that the somewhat more difficult part of the path begins because it becomes very challenging.
I must say the truth, that at one point I didn't feel like I was arriving, but I could see that I was slowly getting closer and closer to my goal.
But after the last few steps, I finally saw the shrine and realised that I had reached the end of the path, here near the shrine you can find a bathroom with toilets and also a restaurant where you can eat comma I usually bring my packed lunch
As you can see from the photo, I did this excursion and on a weekday, because otherwise it is always crowded here and you can't see practically anything, so I advise against coming here on a Sunday.
Of course, I took advantage of this to make a small excursion inside the church. This is not the original sanctuary that was built after the apparition of Our Lady, but the one rebuilt in the 1700s because unfortunately the previous church was in very poor condition and had to be worked on to avoid collapse.
It is a very special place and I think that in the world there are no sanctuaries so attached to the rock, indeed built right inside the rock.
I came down from the same path, something to be avoided on holidays because there are so many people coming up from that path there, you can also use public transport, there is one that connects the sanctuary from the nearest town.
I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you if you read it to the end, I hope you can make an excursion here sooner or later, I will see you in the next post.
Have a great day!
